Sennheiser HD438 - right for me?

I think you'll be happy with your decision! I listen to all sorts of music, but mainly variations of rock, jazz, and electronic music, and I think the HD438 does a great job with all of em.

    Sennheiser 448 vs 438 vs 428

It looks like the HD428s are down to $60 at a bunch of places (including amazon). Get em while they're hot!

    Looking for good headphones

I think the Sennheiser HD438s sound perfect for you. Closed, surround the ear, very comfortable, great sound quality, very natural sounding & sound great with a variety of musical types. I'm listening to them right now and enjoying every moment. Good luck!

Best headphones for dance music? (House, Electro, etc)

I'm using my HD438's for a lot of electronic music. I love em! Sound quality & bass are great. They have a lot of detail and a pretty wide soundstage for a sealed headphone.

    7th Gen (2009) iPod Classic 160 SQ

Just got a new 160 classic to replace my 5g 30gb ipod... I'm very happy! Not only is the OS much more responsive, but it definitely has a better headphone out. Using my HD438s (and ALAC files), I don't have to turn my ipod up quite as high to get a reasonable level of volume, the bass is fuller...

Well since monoprice is so inexpensive, I went ahead and bought it. I also bought their standard line out cable so I can compare.

    Monoprice.com Audio/Sync Cable Quality?

Here's the product I found: HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more! I'm considering getting a FiiO E5 and pairing it with this cable so I can still charge my ipod while getting a better...

Clear headphones with good bass response for under $100?

The Sennheiser HD438's would also be a good choice, though they are a bit power hungry. They're very clear and detailed with good bass

    Using full sized integrated amp

I figured I'd get in on this thread. I just purchased an older Denon PMA-250 to replace my home audio amp (which didn't have a headphone out) & to power my Sennheiser HD560 Ovation II's. I took my ipod along with me to the store & the phones for testing. I loved the sound so I decided to pick it...

    Sennheiser 448 vs 438 vs 428

I'm lovin my 438's so far! I only have 5 hours or so into them, and I'm looking forward to hearing them evolve. Detail is very important to me, and the 438's do not dissapoint. I hear all the little nuances in music that other lesser headphones tend to smooth over. They have a pretty wide...

    Sennheiser 448 vs 438 vs 428

I just ordered a pair of HD 438's for $67.00 from ebay. For that price I couldn't resist! I'm interested to see how they compare to my eh350's.
