Hi guys, I need some advice from fellow members who own or had owned these headphones before. I got Shure 840's a few years ago and hooked them up with Creative Xfi HD DAC/AMP, this setup has served me well all these years. But it has left me with two limitations, First Shure's are very bright...

Shure 840's are very heavy. it starts to hurt my head after 30 mins of use. I am used to wear Eh150's for long hours but these have some serious weight. On other end shure 440 are are a bit lighter than 840 but sound is not satisfactory yet for my taste. i have to return at least one of them...

Thanks for your response guys, i am quite impatient so i had bought both shure 840 and shure 440, i am testing them without any amp right now and 440 sound a bit better towards my taste but they have too much treble when i am watching a movie. However 840 are very laid back for my taste right...
