    HD600 cable upgrade - worth it?

    I've heard so many varying opinions. I'm stuck with the basic flimsy HD600 cable and wanted to know if those $200+ cables out there really make that big of a difference? I have a modest setup, but i'd hate for this thin cable to be my bottleneck.   Would the (cheap!) upgrade to the HD650...

    K701...Amped

    Now that i've got a decent amp, the Maverick D1 - will this have enough power to give the K701 decent bass? I'm used to the Grado sound (SR80s are my current phones.) From what I hear the K701s are a bit weak on bass unless they are matched to the right amp, and that they are picky about...
