I like my solo. Though the Novo is more in your price range and it's not bad either.

ALAC is fine. Ripping cd's with iTunes is fine unless the disc is damaged.

Would a WA6 be an upgrade from a Solo? Spent like $700 on this amp, feel a bit silly replacing it with a $800 one so soon.

I'm pretty sure for music setting it to headphone distorts the signal whereas 2.0/2.1 is true to the source.

Has anyone with a Solo ever compared the energy efficient psu with the PSU1? Just wondering if it's a worthwhile upgrade.

For all games including MW2 I play in Game Mode with CMSS3D on. For music I set it to Audio Creation Mod with bit-matched output but I don't think it makes a difference since I'm using WASAPI in foobar anyway.

No you had it right the first time, I'm using the 3.5mm flexijack as a digital output to the coax input of the Yulong. This way I can use CMSS3d and stuff but with USB I can't. So my soundcard applies CMSS3d effects and then outputs the digital signal to the Yulong.

$600 is a pretty ridiculous price for a Novo since they should be more like half that price. There's gotta be a better way to get one than that.
