I need something that is 40gig or more(more the better) and it has to have on the fly playlists(highlight song, press/hold button, and it adds it to the current playlist - just like queuing up songs in WMP) I would like to avoid the ipods. Mainly due to the problems the Classic is having and...

i'm looking at getting either the e2 or e3(i can get these cheap through a friend) is the E3 worth the extra money ? whats the differnce in sound between these two ?

I think you will generaly find differnces,

my brother needs a volume control for his headphones from the output of his soundcard. can we just wire up a pot for this ? what would the value be ?

i find that music today is very compressed. but it can be done right, and sound fine. bad compression is when you can hear the music "breathing". i can post up some of my recorded music with some compression where the "breathing" is very present if u like.

oh wow, thats really simple. can someone give me some examples using that equation so i can get some ideas ? i really dont know what parts i should be getting for around a 200hz cutoff.

where can i find a simple crossover schematic that splits a signal at a certin frequency? so that say i choose 200hz, the frequency greater then 200 go one way, and then frequencys lower then 200 go the other way. this is not going to be used for speakers, only line level signal. thanks
