Best 2.1/5.1 pc speakers for no more than £50?
Logitech Z-4 Speaker System 80w Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Great sound for the money. I can't think of any other speaker set that will sound that good for that money. The subwoofer is LOUD, too. I don't recommend getting a 5.1 set for 50 pounds, as it most likely will be bad...- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
Good point Robscix. I bit the bullet and went for the Audiotrak Prodigy HD 2, off ebay. If I don't like it, I can still change the opamps. And it will be a lot better than my on-board audio that's for sure. I'm sure it can always be better. My setup is very decent, but it's not the...- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
Haha you guys... I really appreciate the expert help but I don't understand what most of the stuff even means in the previous post (leeperry's post). I thought I was an audiophile for having a seperate soundcard and a big 2.0 set instead of a standard computer speakera set. Guess I was...- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
I have looked at the prelude. It looks great but it's just too expensive for me. The Forte is PCI-e, and I don't have any of those left on my motherboard because I have two big graphics cards in there as well. I play shooters like the new Call of Duty. Just how big is the difference between...- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
I don't know what rolling an op-amp is, lol. I use the computer 80% of the time for music. Other 20% for games. There may be better cards for gaming, but this one definitely won't be bad, and be a lot better than my on-board sound, right? I liked how the xtrememusic sounded in games...- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
These are the ones that I can buy at a store nearby. My budget is around 100Euro's. It has got to be PCI, not PCI-e. I play shooters. Loud explosions and blasts, stuff like that.- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
I run Windows 7 64-bit. Vista drivers work on Windows 7 also, so drivers won't be an issue with any of them I think.- Bluesfella

Which of these cards should I get?
My X-Fi Xtrememusic died on me, so I'm getting a new card. I mainly use it for music, but also games sometimes. I hook the computer up with an analog cable to an amplifier that drives two big speakers. So I don't really need a card that can do surround. The following cards are in my budget...- Bluesfella

The Home Premium version is usually the way to go. 99% of the people that buy Ultimate don't even use the extra features that it has. They just buy it because it's called Ultimate. This might help you.- Bluesfella

Broken X-Fi music question
Hi guys. I have a Creative X-Fi Music, been very happy with it for almost two years now. Much better sound than my on-board audio. Yesterday I was just listening to some music on my computer, and a big bang came through my speakers. After that I didn't have sound anymore. I rebooted my...- Bluesfella
