To use the analog out you have to change the setting to 2 speakers from headphone. Below is a picture to help you out.

X2 on the M Stage Just get the Matrix M Stage or the Lovely Cube. Both are pretty much clones of the Lehmann Black Cube, there is just no way you can beat these two for driving the HD800 at that price level.

For source go with the Xonar DX soundcard, headphones you should take a look at Shure SRH-440 and Allesandro MS-1's in addition to the above recommendation.

I tried the LME49720NA in my card but it did nt work out well, no synergy, music was way too laid back and lifeless. I really like the sound signature of the line out, would it be sensible to put the LM4562s in the I/V section?    Quote:
