I'm stuck between these and the klipsch s5i rugged for an all-purpose IEM ranging from gym to outside to at the laptop usage. both sets are right around the same price and both have respectable sound signatures, though I'm leaning towards the denon's if they're suitable for active use.

After listening to my portable visely for a week, I definitely hear the need to spend some cash on amplification .. i'm looking at two setups, which are only a $40 difference and am wondering which would be preferred to drive my 600 ohm dt990's ... little dot MK V + little dot DAC_I or...
