A question regarding the volume knob protection (http://www.ebay.com/itm/121139987120?redirect=mobile) How is it attached to the player? Just hanging on the knob? Or it's somehow attached to the body?

I'm using Momentums with stock AK100. Sounds great, no anomalies. Momentum's impedance curve is almost linear and measurements show that even if output impedance is 100 ohm the frequency response is hardly affected.

Guys, could you please help to understand how the manual eq works in AK100? Namely, when you tap the frequency bar and see the advanced settings. There is like a field where you can put the dot. Vertically is the +/- level, but what is changed when you tap to the left or to the right being on...

I was thinking about the way to fix the 22Ohm issue for iRiver without hardware modification. I think it could be possible to create a list of EQ presets for certain popular models of earphones/headphones, that modify the Frequency response in such way that compensates the influence of 22Ohm...

Now using NWZ-F806 with Sennheiser Momentum. Really great sound. I was surprised with the power of the walkman despite it's EU. It drives these headphones very well without any amps. Advise you to try

I can confirm that most of distortions of bass in some tracks are gone after the update. Actually I don't want to replace this device anymore :) seems that it's nearly perfect taking into account all aspects. Even android is good for the internet radio

Dear JmoonAK, As you are an official representative of Iriver AK product, could you please comment on the difference between black and gold/silver versions of AK100. Some customers seem to notice some difference in sounding. Is this just a psychological effect or there are real differences...

Guys, do you thing there can be any profit of connecting a very small amplifiers like Fiio E6 to the AK100? Maybe something a bit bigger, but not too much. it should definitely remain a portable and convenient for outdoor using.

Did anybody hear or experience some problems with RWAK100 compared to stock AK100? How about reliability? Are there any additional risks with this mod? For example, if the headphone out is occasionally shortcut with a conductor  Are there any real disadvantages of RWAK100 (except for the price)? 

Has Anybody tried AK100 with Sony MDR-EX1000 (32 Ohm)? I mean unmodified AK100. I'm wondering if they can make a good symbiosis. Now I have Sony NWZ-F806 and AK100 is interesting as a replacement.

Actually Sony will be stupid if integrates s-master to Xperia phone, because they will lose walkman market. My opinion is that s-master amplifier will be still used only in separate walkmans and all xperias will be inferior in terms of sound quality.

Exactly! The lowest bass is present and not distorted. As an example one can listen to "bass, I love you" with great sub-bass frequences- powerful deep bass is reproduced very impressive. But when it comes to massive bass at about 60Hz - something odd happens. Wrote to sony support-waiting for...

In this case bass level is too low to recognize distortions if they are still present. Seems as if there were gone. And yes-it's on default sony player. The same situation with other players: EQ off - almost no distortion, but if I try to increase bass - it doesn't increase but distortions appear.

And is there a possibility to download the Firmware to PC and install it via cable? Not via wi-fi. I'm wondering if it's possible to install Japanese or US firmwares on EU version of the player and thus to compare. Do you know any download links?
