I also liked the Monolith amp. Imaging was excellent and its sound was crisp and clear. I think it would be a perfect match especially with darker sounding phones.  I used it with an ER-4S so I can't comment on noise and hiss but guys who used it with sensitive IEM like JH-13 or FitEar MH334...

I've been curious about the USB input. Does Hifi-M8 accept 24/192 from Windows without a dedicated driver? Ratoc from Japan released a USB DAC which does 24/192 from Windows w/o additional drivers and I was wondering whether Hifi-M8 will do the same.   Good luck on CanJam! I'm pretty sure...
