Some new release candidate (alsa-driver-1.0.15rc2, alsa-lib-1.0.15rc2, pyalsa-1.0.15rc2) packages have been released today. Has anybody tried them out yet? I can't tell if the changes from rc1 to rc2 fix the problem most of us were having with the rc1 packages... It looks like this change...

I noticed that you can download the 1.0.15rc1 drivers which are supposed to have support for the 0404. For the life of me I can't get the drivers to work, i've installed each of the different packages and had no difficulties with doing so, yet even after a reboot my soundcard is undetected. I'm...

I believe most people would say either the EMU 1212m or the EMU 0404 depending on if you wan't the more neutral presentation (1212m) or the "more exciting" (brighter or more forward) EMU 0404. You would need some adapters to connect "computer speakers" like the Pro Medias to either of the sound...
