Quote: Hi, Thanks for the input. For me it seems like the HD558 is cheaper than the HD555. In what way are they different? Most people have recommended me the HD555, not the HD558. Why? How is the K240 compared to the Sennheisers?- m0ar

I'm getting a new pair of headphones fopr listening at home, as a compliment to my ViSang R03 that I use on the move. I've got up to $150 to spend, and maybe an amp in addition to that. They need to be able to be run unamped from a clip+ though. Listening style: I would like the sound...- m0ar

Hello! I have been thinking about getting a pair of decent headphones for listening at home, as a complement to my ViSang R03 and PortaPro (Kramer+quarter mod) that I use on the move. The two most important aspects are SQ (of course) and comfort, and my budget caps at $100 for...- m0ar

How about the Denon d-1000? Will the soundstage be too tight? Is the Koss Pro DJ100 similar? Would the AKG K240 fit my needs? Just because they are so legenday: the Grados SR60i? Are there any other competitors? Thanks!- m0ar

Looks like the HD 555 is a good contender! I just read about the Sony MDR-V6 as well, how are they for my needs? As I have no experience with full size headphones I'm stupid enough to think that cheap means no good; am I wrong?- m0ar

Hello! The plug/strain relief on my Brainwavz M2 / ViSang R03's has gone bananas, it's broken in two and the cound crackles like hell when you move it. The plastic couldn't handle sweden, neg 30 bitches. Anyhow, if you are familiar with the IEM's the cable is quiet thin. What plug...- m0ar

Frustrated with Clip+
Just so you know, you don't loose any sound quality when transcoding MP3 into FLAC, since the original soundwave is always kept with lossless comprimation. So; Same quality -> bigger file.- m0ar

Sansa Clip+
The rockboxed clip+ works like a CHARM! Easy to install/manage with the RBU (RockBoxUtility). I haven't noticed ANY bugs with it, except that fact that you have to boog the original firmware when loading and transferring music, but this is done by pressing right while connecting it.. ...- m0ar
