I honestly believe you could try and start with the O2 right away as a beginner project, but that may requiring some extra dedication to make sure parts are aligned in the correct direction. A Cmoy amp would be a good start, but you could jump into the O2 if you want. As for poorly soldering...

That is the wrong link, that's for LAME not flac. I'm sure you can go to the flac website and find it though. Unzip and download that, than use the folder when it asks for the flac.exe.

I prefer my 2-D fighters over 3-D, but don't play much right now (school and what not). I played BlazBlue when it first came out as Rachel, but haven't touched any of the new ones. I also play Melty Blood when it was Act Cadenza, but I haven't updated with the times and shifted to Actress Again...

Yeah, vendor sponsors aren't a necessity for a meet up if it's small. What's important to to set a reasonable amount of time for the date and a location, and people will come. I'm good for April, as that's when I'll be back in reasonable distance to SD.
