I do agree that they might not be the best cans for musical experience but I have to sing it's highest praises in terms of monitor use. I do quite a lot of recording stuff and it's great to pick up the subtle nuances and such! Have to agree they do some a bit bright at times with certain music

I've personally had no experience with the AKG but i did have the px200 and I found it a bit hit and miss. Getting the fit right is pretty hard for headphones like px200. Get it off a wee bit and poof there goes the bass... and the isolation. If you don't mind fiddling with it a wee bit then...
