    ER-6 a triumph!

Can someone explane the advantage in sound quality the ER-4's have over the ER-6's? I understand there more efficient, but what about there sonic differences, and is it worth the money difference listening to mp3's.

    ER-6 a triumph!

I'm beginning to think those 888 were defective. I must admit I like the way these fit better though. I am most impressed at how flat there response sounds. Nothing missing nothing exaggerated, just good clean impeccable sound! I thought I heard some good low end on some Sheffield Lab discs I...

    ER-6 a triumph!

Well I just received my ER-6's and all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you! These are positively the flattest reproducers I have ever heard. There transient response is extraordinary! I can hear a new level of detail, it sounds like my ears are ten years old again. I have around...

Etymotic SR-6 or Sony E888 which is the phone?

Your opinion is very good. I like the fact that you use the Ety's for good recordings. That tells me they add nothing to the original signal, that's why I ordered them. Thanks!

iPod Not For Audiophiles No service Plan!!!

If you can't believe it's disposable after 90 days call Apple yourself. Has anybody actually read my post!! As I said even an Apple product specialist called me and verified the same thing. I'm not lying, i"m just telling what I've been told. Believe me I couldn't understand it either! Which is...

iPod Not For Audiophiles No service Plan!!!

Well, I conducted a very controlled A/B test on my audio system which is very high end, and came to the conclusion that either my friends iPod is defective, or the other people on this board have been very lucky! I played the original Sheffield lab Missing Link CD on my Nakamichi MB-10 player...

iPod Not For Audiophiles No service Plan!!!

I tried the EQ setting again and still get no change. The volume changes seem to work but that's it. I'm going to hook the iPod up to my stereo sytem and a/b the origional CD to the mp3 playing through my Crown preamp. This way I can switch between the sources on the spot. I will return with my...

iPod Not For Audiophiles No service Plan!!!

I have read and was told by Apple that the EQ settings do not currently tranfer over to the iPod from iTunes, at least not with the 1.02 update. I will give that a try though. Like I said this iPod was a freinds unit but I'll transfer my own songs and see what happens.

iPod Not For Audiophiles No service Plan!!!

I compared the origional CD on my $600.00 Nakamichi CD player with the 256 bit version on the iPod and there is definately something going on in the high end region. My Sony's sound extemely smooth on the Nak very faithful to the origional sound. When we switched over to the iPod the high end is...

iPod Not For Audiophiles No service Plan!!!

I was about to buy an iPod today at the Apple Store in Tampa till I asked about replacing the batteries. The guy told me that they where designed to last 9 to 11 years. Ya whatever. Anyway I asked how do you get them replaced and he said that apple would replace them during the 90 day warranty...

    Sony E888LP earbuds

I can hardly believe the difference after 36 hours of break in on my Sony e888lp's. They all of a sudden sound much smoother with silky smooth highs instead of the harsh tinny sound I was getting out of the box. The bass output increased dramatically! It's really amazing that it made that much...

    Sony E888LP earbuds

Dan, I just tried my 888's and I must admit they sound very bright almost tinny. I know they need some break in which I have done now for about 10 hours. They still sound screechy! Does the high end ever tone down? The bass is very shy, but clean and tight. I really don't here very much in the...

    Sony E888LP earbuds

Can someone tell me the real scoop on the Sony E888LP earbuds? I don't see hardly any feedback on them and I just ordered a pair without hearing them. Did I make a big mistake or what?
