Tianyun Zero DAC - New 2009 Edition

If you plug it the wrong way, quite likely that the OPA627 is "burnt". I have burnt a pair of OPA627 in a Phono pre-amps by putting the"adapter" the wrong way, and while the OPA failed, nothing else failed....   Suggest you try to plug-in another OpAmp.

Review of the Audio-gd DAC-19 DSP & C2 amp - The ACSS connection

Quote: Thanks, that confirms my DAC19 as "normal".   Thanks to slim.a and all others contributing to this thread. Reading this thread for 6 months and hearing that PCM1704 stock was running out made me pull the trigger.   DAC19-DSP and C2 sound great. I replaced my Audio-GD...

Review of the Audio-gd DAC-19 DSP & C2 amp - The ACSS connection

Quote: Good question. Would like to know the answer too.   Another observation and question:   I have DAC-19 connected to C2 via ACSS and DAC-19 RCA output is connected to my speaker amp. If C2 is selected to receive the ACSS signal, the output level to the speaker amp is very low...

Songs That Give You the Goosebumps (the good ones)

Great thread, helped me (re)discover lots of great recordings.   My list:   Eva Cassidy (Live at Blues Alley) - Stormy Monday (could add the whole album...) Ray Charles (Genius Loves Company) - Fever (with Natalie Cole) E.S.T (Live In Hamburg) - The Rube Thing Peter Cincotti (Peter...

    M2Tech HiFace Mods and Discussions

Quote:   Yes, I did the clock mod.   My 500mAH battery voltage is dropping faster now after 24h (about 24h effective playing over past 2 days). During first 24h, it was constant at 3.32V.   Are you disconnecting the battery when not using the HiFace, or do you simply keep it...

    M2Tech HiFace Mods and Discussions

A few months back I modified my USB cable to give the HiFace fresh 5V power from battery. Perhaps some improvement, but not much.    Last Saturday I gathered the courage to "hack" my HiFace open for the 3.3V mod. I didn’t have the patient to wait for internet order, so I bought two 3.3V...

Yesterday I bought a HiFace with RCA connection from RaindropAudio in Singapore (stock in the shop, so no time lost ordering). If I would have read the last few pages on this thread earlier, I would probably have gone for the BNC and used a BNC to RCA adapter at DAC end. The Hiface gave me...

    The Compass Thread (New)

Received my Compass a few weeks back and the HDAM had fallen out of the socket and the legs were all bent. Not difficult to fix, but not the first impression you are looking for... I read earlier posts that mentioned some foam to hold the HDAM in place, but there was no foam in my unit (I...
