How will you use it with the Stax?

I am selling these two Stax Amps. Both in excellent condition. SRM007TA - £800 SRM006TII - £700

With a lack of any other ideas I unscrewed the suspension strap, made a couple of new holes about 5mm up the strap from the original ones and put it back together using these new holes. Problem solved.

My SR-009 and SRM-007TA arrived and I am really enjoying them. However, to my surprise the 009 feels very big on me. This is unusual for me. I have them on the smallest setting, but I would like to tighten the headband further, and possibly add to the clamping force. Is there anything that...

I don't think I am making a problem.

I understand the concept of try before you buy, but it's not that easy with second hand equipment. I'm happy with the deal I got for these items and take comfort that if they don't work out for me I will be able to sell them on without taking much of a hit.

I'm waiting for a pair of SR-009 to arrive with an SRM-007TA. I'm reading lots of posts about amps and worrying that I'm going to be disappointed! I currently have SR-404 and an SRM-006TII and was hoping for a significant upgrade from the new kit. What's the likely reality?
