Beyer DT250 vs. DT150
Interested in the finding of Scoox - similar to my impressions when comparing in the shop It was not easy to make a quick decision - but my wife pointed out that I kept commenting on the better tonal accuracy when ever I listened to the DT250 I went in expecting to get the DT150's based on...- geof777

AKG K240 Monitor: Capable?
I used to own the K240 Monitor Golds They were very nice to listen to - but I couldn't use as a monitor for recording as they were slightly lifted at top and bottom - so all my recordings came out with the opposite My Mum still owns the orig K240's and I prefer those. Nice comfy headphones...- geof777

Cheap reasonable enclosed for MP3
I use a small Sony MP3 player - mostly for working nightshifts. (The environment can be noisy so I need some noise isolation) The earphones that came with it were nothing special and keep falling out of my ears So I did a bit of quick research and found some V-Moda Bass in earphones...- geof777

Beyer DT250 vs. DT150
Mine are not boomy - I definately wouldn't have purchased them if there were any hint of boom - it's specifically one of the things I was steering away from that my Senheisser 490's have. I would say the bass is solid tight and articulate - as well as well extended.- geof777

It would be interesting I wasn't given, or aware at the time of, the option !! So - I guess, in a way, I don't want to know as I have shelled out the dosh now - but I am happy with my DT250/80ohm versions..- geof777

Recording Methods & Sound Stage - HP vs Speakers
When listening to speakers - I like to listen to the 'engineered' soundstage - the most natural of which is often the coincident pair method of microphone use. It is like you are audience to a performer or performers. With headphones the sound is somehow in your head - so even though there is...- geof777

Beyer DT250 vs. DT150
UPDATE: GAK Brighton were very helpfull indeed, they had their own opinions but didn't force them upon me. I was left to listen and compare to my heart's content. They also suggested I try the Audio Technica ATH M50, they even took it a stage further while I was there and told me their sound...- geof777

Beyer DT250 vs. DT150
Just read through here with interest. I am trying to decide on a pair of new headphones, and found comments here really usefull. I tried the DT 100 about 15 years ago!!! I liked the comparative neutral presentation - but felt they could be better in the Bass. At the time I owned AKG 240 Pro's...- geof777
