    Hello all, I've got a set of these Sennheiser HD280's that have a damaged headband.  It is partially damaged, and I was looking to reinforce it by DIY'ing some lexan plastic sheet into the proper size and shape.  Then fasten the lexan to sandwhich the remaining damaged band inbetween, and still...

    Im a headphone noob, but yeah I love these HD-280's. Not sure I they sound better now then when I bought them, but hey its good. Should I have an amp for them? I run them directly into my sound card on my comp.. Soundblaster Live! super old and cheap edition.

    Would you guys recommend the hd 280 as a similiar but improved headphone? any more than 100$ would bust my budget at this point. Im going to generally be using it on my PC for gaming and techno/club music listening.
