XP7 - Need How To Change Opamp Instructions
Per title. I'm in a bit of a panic. My XP7 is misbehaving and it occurred to me that I'd switched opamps a couple of weeks ago. I've been doing searches all day and can't come up with the instructions again. Thanks for helping.- ChenaynayC

How to amp some Maggies via HK AVR225
I ordered some of the new Maggies from Magnepan and planned to use them as fronts in my modest HT set up. I hear they need lots of power and planned to have an amp for them by the time they arrive. Well, I saw a GFA 555 today and was ready to bite. Then it happened! I pulled out the AVR guide...- ChenaynayC

Pioneer SE-DIR1000C - That Pinging!!!
I am the new owner of JMadiero's set of these phones. I had read his great review and those of others who have these or the XB1's. So far so good! Anyway, as I reviewed the threads about these phones there were a couple of owners who had noted a pinging sound when listening. I was hoping I would...- ChenaynayC

I Did It!
You already know what it is. I built a CMOY! And it works! I've got Gil in the D25 all 'alligatored' to some really cheap headphones right now! I've got clean sound on my first test run. Yeah! I know nothing about electronics - but Tangent's tutorial is great. And I spent a lot of time...- ChenaynayC

When You Need to relax Poetry . . .
I'm still enjoying my 'silky' Corda Blue(thanks KurtW) and grabbed Sekou Sundiata's 1997 CD, 'The Blue Oneness of Dreams.' tonight. This is a great disk for relaxed headphone listening. It is very well produced, clear, has a couple of smooth vocals, urban sound effects, instruments in the...- ChenaynayC

CMOY Question
I'm building a CMOY and have added two Panasonic 50V caps. They are huge and cover the r.in and l.in that according to the picture I should solder wire inputs to. What are my options? 1. Tilt up 1 leg on the caps like on the 170 illustration? 2. Move r.in and l.in wires up a hole. If I do...- ChenaynayC

I'm Getting Blued...
Today I mailed by Corda HA-1 to Kurt for his 'blue' modifications! I'm very excited and had to tell someone, and since you're the only folks I know that 'get it' I thought I'd share. I can hardly wait for his return. So for the next 3 days at home it's me and the Grado RA-1. After that I pack...- ChenaynayC

My name is ... and I Have a Problem!
Everytime I see a Cardas 'Smurf' cable for sale - I want it! I've read so much about them and they're such an improvement over the stock cables. But wait, I DON'T OWN THE 580s OR THE 600s. I listened to them at the WoHT and didn't care for 'em. What is wrong with me? I'm afraid I'm going to...- ChenaynayC

Phillips SBC 820
I saw these at Target today for $39.99. Anyone know anything about them? They didn't have a stand like the 890s, and the drivers were only 40mm rather than 50mm. The headband looked similar to 890s. They looked 'plasticky' like the Senn 497s to me. Anyway, I couldn't find a link to them under...- ChenaynayC

Removing Tube in DIO
I can't seem to figure out how this thing should be removed. Does it screw in? Do I just pull out on it. I'd like to know I'm going in the right direction before applying excessive force. Any advice appreciated.- ChenaynayC

Grado RA-1, ART DI/O and Me
The Grado amp came in today. I left work immediately. Afterall, I do have priorities. It'll cost me next week, but I'm a happy camper this weekend. Okay, here's where I am right now: It's lighter (weightwise) than I thought. Very elegant looking. I can't call it cute - it has more class than...- ChenaynayC

Art DI/O - I blew it . . .
I think I did a little impulse shopping here. I went to FullCompass today and purchased an ART DI/O. But, now that I'm looking at it I don't think it will connect to my Sony CDP-C725. I was working on that source problem of mine, ya know. Anyway, the 725 has a digital out which looks square...- ChenaynayC

Grado RA-1 ---> Soon to be Mine!
Well, I did it today completely unplanned. It will take them a week to get it ordered, and I have 14 days to check it out. They've never had one returned. But, I don't think they sell a lot of 'em or they would have had it in stock. I've been wanting one a long time. In our world that can be...- ChenaynayC

Is this really a D-35?
I found this on e-bay. I thought the D-35 looked like the D-25s, except its black. Did I miss something? Just curious. . . http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1325568276- ChenaynayC

I Got My JMT!!!
Wish I had a digicam. But I don't. I am very impressed with the looks (Penguin tin) and the sound. It is done very methodically. The wires are not jumbled. I can't see any nicks around the jacks or controls. The inside of the tin has been neatly taped to prevent rattles etc. And d***it, I'm a...- ChenaynayC

Mini-Mini? RCA-Mini? What do I need
I have a JMT CHA47 enroute. I plan to use it with my Grado 80s. I will be connecting to Sony D25s line-out and/or headphone, my laptop pc (mini), Aiwa RX-648 fm/am/cassette, Grundig yachtboy, etc. When my curiosity strikes I'll probably try my receiver as well. What I don't know is what type of...- ChenaynayC
