    AD900 closed headphone equivalent?

I find the DT770 250ohm quite pleasant in compliment to the AD900. From ATH's line there's only two I can think of: A900ti and A950LTD (saw one in a Singapore store, Jaben). They dont sound similar to AD900, but IIRC they're quite nice in complement to AD900. Have you tried the...

Like my AD700's but WITH BASS?????

Good aural imaging for gaming with plenty of good bass ... I can't think of anything else besides the DT880, given you can amp them properly. Maybe the A40 amp can drive them. I own the AD900. They have good bass and more quantity than AD700 but might not suit your liking. Ever...

    Help concerning AD900

I use the AD900 for both gaming and music and find the AD900 has lots of sound stage for gaming. I can't remember the soundstage of AD700 vs AD900, but the AD900 has accurate audio positioning. Very good for cod4 and CS. The AD900 also sounds real good for music. I recommend it, although the...

FWIR, it is recommended to upgrade the source first, then the amp. Do you guys think its better to get the ibasso D10 first (decent DAC under $300) then the hifiman EF2? Or is it better to get the EF2 first, then get a better DAC (LD DAC_1 or DacMagic) later? And do post back with your...

Thanks for the amp recommendations. While I don't find my pair fatiguing, some who did tried mine said they were a bit on the bright side. Is the AD900 considered as "recessed"? I haven't been able to find AD900's frequency response graph so I cannot properly equalize it (my inexperienced...

Headphones for lots of music and gmaing. :)

DT770PRO - no idea aside that it needs an amp to sound their best. A900 - I've used them and I can say their plenty good for gaming. The bass is more bloated than I'd like though. HD595 - seems like a safe bet. Also open for better amps/dac IIRC. Try to audition them to be sure. I'd...

Stick with the 595. They should be more open to upgrades (amps & dac) compared to the HD555 / AD700. Don't know about the DT770.
