Looking for a portable amp that can balance left/right chs
I apparently have a slight hearing issue with my left ear when compared to my right so was wondering if there was any usb dac/amp (and/or) that could help me balance the two sides. I have about a $150 or so budget but cheaper would be better.- slazenger

Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)
Nice review, I do want to say that the build quality of the HA-M750 well in my opinion is rather low (just my experience) I managed to break mine in just a couple trips in my backpack. The earcup hinge thing just completely snapped apart. But again just my experience, I even had more luck with...- slazenger

Time for a second pair of cans, help me out guys!
Im actually kinda in the same boat as you (Broke my igrados). Although my listening preferences are a bit different the AKG 181DJ (higher up version of your model and err quite a bit bigger) seems to be fairly well regarded. It does have a replaceable chord if thats the thing that keeps breaking...- slazenger

Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)
just wondering in terms of SQ, roughly how would you rate the HD25 and K181DJ you have. I have had an igrado and was thinking about moving up so was wondering how these two would compare.- slazenger

Looking for earbuds for a present
Thanks a lot, I already found the first one but the second one was really nice as well. I was heavily considering the ATH ones from kostalex's thread even if they were a bit over budget since I do want to get him something nice. Time to do some more reading!- slazenger

Looking for earbuds for a present
Looking to give someone a pair of $50 or so earbuds for a Christmas Present this year. I cannot get him IEMs since he wont be allowed to wear them so conventional ear buds would be best. He listens to primarily rock I guess so that would be the most important. I prefer something that will...- slazenger

AKG 181DJ or HD25?
Thanks for your response, yeah the Q40 did look decent but the cable failures (and read a couple cases of driver failures) has me kinda wanting something else. I appreciate your perspective on the K181DJ since I was actually about to purchase it. Some people have stated that they liked it...- slazenger

AKG 181DJ or HD25?
Not too worried with price, I did see the ebay prices though but both are in my budget so yeah. I see people say that the AKG 181DJ is better but there really are not too many reviews on it, unlike the HD25.- slazenger

AKG 181DJ or HD25?
After looking around at the Q40, it seems to have some issues with reliability or at least there have been a couple instances where it seemed like the headphone died on them. The physical build quality and looks seem to be very good but I would rather not deal with that. In your opinion how...- slazenger

AKG 181DJ or HD25?

AKG 181DJ or HD25?
I have been through a lot of posts and did a lot of searching but really could not find a consensus when comparing these 2 headphones (including the 15 closed headphone review). I have mainly narrowed my choices to these two because they seem to offer isolation, build quality, and portability to...- slazenger

Trying again to find a new pair of sub $150 headphones
Looking for a nice solid pair of headphones. Looking for a new semiportable headphone
My friend got HA M750 I believe and found the thing extremely flimsy. Somehow they were not designed to have one cup folded against your head or something and they broke, although I believe they did sound very nice. I could not find many reviews on the philips headphones recommended and am...- slazenger

Looking for a new semiportable headphone
Im trying to find a semi open or closed headphone that I can bring around with me. It does not have to be super portable but preferably not some huge dual banded headphone. I am not interested in anything in the ears so that eliminates a lot of options unfortunately. I have about a $80-$100...- slazenger
