mine with the update play all songs well (mp3 & flac) and also the FM. Like tstarn06, I didn't notice degraded sound....maybe a little improvement in bass impact and overall soundstage.

Just by curiousity, I tried to update via XP on my other pc, I just link it and run the exe and it work without any problem, so maybe the problem is the OS compatibilty...

Anadin : I tried to update like you described but it doesn't work. Do you hold the + and the play button at the same time or hold +/release/hold play 10 sec ? And also do i have to do this when the player is off or on ? Thanks ! Edit : @Quaddy -> seems we asked anadin at same time

Actually, the update firmware for the pro1 is out (2 weeks ago now) but I think neither Craig nor anyone from Hisoundaudio gave an "official" place to download it yet. Just pm me and I will give it to you =)

I Have the A805 which are the same as the A81X in terms of SQ, and the clear bass fonction + the personal EQ = Impressive Bass ! (considering you got a decent headphone)

I got an "old" sony dap,the A805, and would like to know if getting the S639 worth it in terms of sound quality.

I don't know about the zune, but I got both the sansa fuze and a sony A805 and I can tell you that, with equalizer flat, the SQ of the fuze has more soundstage and depth than the sony. But to me, if you like warm sounding, then I'll go for the sony.

I just put the Beyer Velour pads on my hfi-780...and the comfort became woooow. I advice it for all hfi-780 owners.
