    The Stax SRM-001 mod thread

Hi Frankly, I don't remember how did the original baby stax sound ( I bought them from Japan in 2012), but, after modding, they sound very, very detailed with good bass. I compare them to my Massdrop Hifiman 4EXX with JDL Labs amplifier.

    The Stax SRM-001 mod thread

AudioCats thank you for your reply. What do you think about the use of Ampohm Paper in Oil Aluminium Foil 0,01 uF 630v in C7-C8? I don't have problem of space, given that I'll put the amplifier in a new case. Thank you Regards

    The Stax SRM-001 mod thread

Hi AudioCats At last I have solved the problem of my Stax sr-001 MKII; I sent it to Joynetcafe (Japan) and Stax changed the Earspeakers unit under warranty. Now, it sounds good but I want to modify it as SuperFatCat ( I have put the PCB in a new case, so there aren’t problems of space)...

    Problems with the Stax warranty

Hi On March 2010 I bought a Stax SR-001 MKII Earspeaker system from Joynetcafè (Japan) at 200€; very soon I heard a great signal distortion from right channel. So I sent the headphone to the Japan (48€); after twenty days I received from Joynetcafè my Stax under warranty (I had to pay further...

    The Stax SRM-001 mod thread

AudiCats I changed output Fets and Transistors but unfortunately I didn't solve the problem; after three minutes I hear an annoying distortion on the right channel. Do you think the replacement of the output Opamp could solve the problem? Thank you Ecodoppler

Hi AudioCats I read with great interest your threads on Stax SRM-001headphones and I wish to modify mine but there's a problem; I bought my Stax from Japan one years ago but soon I noted a great distortion on the right channel. So I decided to send the headphone to Japan  to repair it; after...

[new project] The BIY ("Buy It Yourself") High End DAC

Bingo, add a PDM100 filter and use a SE tube stage (no SRRP) and you have it. I have a design (posted here somewhere) that you can add to the D1 clone that is fantastic. avoid the new DAC chips and opamp outouts like the plague Could you post schematics of your project and/or photos...
