I noticed on wavetheory YouTube review of SMSL PL200 cd player he states that it has ESS Sabre dac and edgy sound. PL200 actually has AK4499 chip and velvet sound. Questionable diligence for a “reviewer”.

McIntosh MHA100. It’s in my profile. Ear One make HD800 more natural and better. MHA100 has tone adjustment and crossfeed which make HD800 almost perfect.

I have one. It’s one of the best application of crossfeed. Don’t use it since I upgraded. Will sell if anyone interested. Picture is from meet.

I vote for crossfeed. My experience from best to mild. #1 Holographic Audio Ear One with Ohman X-FEED, Beyerdynamic Headzone with headtracker, McIntosh Headphone Crossfeed Director HXD, Headroom Home amp. HD 800 needs crossfeed to sound natural.

Had a chance to test few headphones this weekend. Z1R was grainy and not musical, total letdown, from memory Z7 was less boring. UTOPIA little harsh on top. ELEAR was smoother, better bass and more PRAT. LCD 4 is the winner for me in open headphones. LCD XC has excellent isolation, ergonomics...

Just received HA-SZ 2000 from Japan. I am really surprised how powerful and revealing they sound straight or off box. Like them more then PM-1 or Edition8 at first listening. Of my amps Headroom home works best, great dynamics and bass. Thanks guys for introducing them to me.

Not personal but very public. OPPO could have had the decency to post product dimension on their page, especially for headphones not available for demo and and being in over $1K luxury market. Bad engineering, bad ergonomics.

Correction. Had to return PM-1 due to really bad fit. Really uncomfortable, don't recommend. Eating my words.

Amp section of Headzone is really good. Edition8 (32Ohm) sounds excellent same with Pioneer SE-A1000 (70Ohm), dead quiet background unlike Phonitor with low impedance headphones.

I don't post much here, but generalizing Oppo PM-1 as extremely comfortable gets my blood boiling. Tiny mushy ear cushions, narrow headband, as bad as bumpy K701, for the weight of the headphones. From headphones I had the honor to listen on multiple time the most comfortable #1 Stax SR 009...

I have JVC HA-SZ2000 on order from Japan coming by July 16. Dual driver headphones for best bass.

I am looking at exactly same option and moon-audio has Signature DJ on sale. Would be nice to have a bass boost with Micro Ican. My Edition8 sounds same with any good output and Signature DJ is probably similar.

I have Headzone H1 and all my headphones are fine with the 100 Ohm output. Sound is close to Phonitor. With movies, Headzone makes huge difference.
