    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

I tried replugging in the left cable multiple times to the left speaker and it didn't work. Really weird -_-. Is it wrong to have my headphones out in the open? I haven't opened it to check for dust in years.

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

Hey guys,   I have owned a 650 for many years.. I haven't used mine for about 1.5 years and decided to plug it in today and found that the left speaker isn't working at all (no sound). How do I fix this? I left my headphone out on my desk for all this time.    Edit:   I just reversed the...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I originally bought Heir Audio 4.A when the wizard used to be in that company (before starting Noble Audio). I am in for a refit now and I was wondering whether the Wizard is still able to provide service to customers like me. I sent an e-mail to Noble Audio about 2 months ago but haven't...

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

Sure. Set the high gain. While you're at it, set bass to +3, treble to +2, brightness to full. Oh, and make sure you don't wear the W4R's in your ear while plugging the 3.5 mm cable in. Set the Volume to about 7. Enable gapless playback. Profit.

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

It's for battery conservation. It seems they want the amplifier circuit to be shut off if you are not listening to any music. Try playing music and unplugging the headphone out jack, you will continuously hear clicks everytime you take it out and put it back in (it's happening for me but I am...

I'm having the exact same issue here as well. I'd like to see the clicking issue stop because it is uncomfortable to hear. I feel no clicks when I use coaxial or Line out. The clicking only happens if I use headphone out.

    [REVIEW]: Noble Audio Kaiser 10: 10-driver Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitor

So in other words, imaging is poor on this particular CIEM since it cannot show the individual instruments as how it was recorded to be?

    [REVIEW]: Noble Audio Kaiser 10: 10-driver Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitor

"For imaging, again, I’m not getting the artificially hyper-separated sound where each instrument sounds as though it was pasted in, but a more true to the recording sound where each instrument has its own place on the soundstage."   Can you elaborate on what "pasted in" means? Are you...

As an Engineer myself, I feel the software is absolutely fantastic (even at launch). I have not even updated the firmware on my device. It is definitely not a half baked product.

    FiiO X3 mod - AD8397 to AD8620

Thanks for the update! I'm personally too scared to mod the X3 since I have poor soldering skills. :(    Glad you are enjoying the DAP!

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)

I needed the digital pot volume control. UHA-6S is amazing but I don't have the gear to appreciate it :(

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Project86, you claim 8A is your favorite iem. Have you heard of the H200 (which costs ~1/4 of the 8A)? I have seen a lot of people sell their 8A for the H200 because apparently it sounds substantially better than it and it is also substantially cheaper. What are your thoughts?

Hey guys! I'm selling my leckerton uha-6s with ADA4627 & OPA209 op amps. I'm also open to trading it for a uha-4 so if any of you want to upgrade to a uha-6 and own a uha-4, this would be a great deal!

I don't think it's urgent. FiiO has a lot of other things to look into first like bugs.

    [REVIEW]: Noble Audio Kaiser 10: 10-driver Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitor

At that price point, it would be nice to have a review that compares against various other models. The existing reviews are mostly comparing the kaiser to existing Heir Audio models. Average Joe provides better insights in his reviews that we are looking for.

    [REVIEW]: Noble Audio Kaiser 10: 10-driver Custom-Fit In-Ear Monitor

I enjoyed the reviews too but, Average Joe should do a review. Noble should provide a free set of CIEMs to Average Joe without forcing us to raise the funds to do it.

    FiiO X3 mod - AD8397 to AD8620

if there is no noise found in signal readings, then what makes you think the human ear can detect signal noise better? It's not like we have the mental capacity to calculate SNR with just our eardrums!  You have the tools in place as you have said. Take the advice of the other member and use...
