Nura: Headphones that learn and adapt to your unique hearing
This was cleared up for me by the doctor. The testing at the hearing tests usually tests for your hearing threshold, so can be inaccurate when approaching or below your hearing threshold. The Nuras are testing for different frequency responses above your hearing threshold. Super-threshold...- Rightclick/Scissors

Nura: Headphones that learn and adapt to your unique hearing
OK. Here goes There are 3 co-founders : a business guy, an electrical engineering PhD, and an ear surgeon / hearing science PhD with some firmware expertise. So I think in a way, the research and engineering was already built up over their respective lifetimes. They're of the start-up...- Rightclick/Scissors

Nura: Headphones that learn and adapt to your unique hearing
I gave them a thorough test yesterday at a Music Tech event, and they are legit. Might write a full review later if I find the time. They are a must own for audiophiles, and have some really cool features as headphones. Not sure about the styling yet, as they're still tweaking that. ...- Rightclick/Scissors

Hey guys, Trying to figure out some monitor cans for making electronic music. I already have the universally acclaimed ATH-M50's and am looking for another for a second reference, and...well, just to enjoy having two. Since my M50s are closed, I was thinking maybe I should look at...- Rightclick/Scissors

Getting cables replaced / repaired in London
Anybody know where I get this done? I dinged the jack on my brand new AT A900X's. Feel a right fool.- Rightclick/Scissors

London UK Meet?
Awesome. Seems to be a lot of interest. I've never heard electrostatic cans, so if there's any chance of blagging or borrowing a pair, that'd be pretty cool. +1 for London area -
The wait for new headphones!
Can I relate? I've been waiting about twelve days for my AT A900Xs from Japan. They had to be rerouted via Tenso, held in their warehouse, paid for, confirmed, shipped over to the UK, inspected by customs, and forwarded to my local post office for 'Retention'. I've been checking their delivery...- Rightclick/Scissors

Best home studio monitor headphones around 150$?
You just can't go wrong with the M50s: they've been the standard for years and have yet to be dethroned. Highly regarded everywhere and used by pros everywhere. You're not gonna hate 'em. Chances are you'll have the same reaction as everyone else. Also they're so well-built and have great...- Rightclick/Scissors

AKG Q701's vs ATH-M50's I love my ATH-M50s but it's time to replace them. I'm wondering if the Quincy's at twice the price are an actual upgrade. I need them for a monitoring / reference headphone so I'm not looking for experiential quality (sparkle, or bass-rich sounds) so much as...- Rightclick/Scissors

Replacing the drivers in old vintage cans
So I guess I can't buy the drivers separately, but have to buy the whole new headphone and tear the new drivers out, THEN fit them to the old phones? Also, not joking! The DIY resource is a little disorienting for beginners. I wish there were a couple of basic how-to guides to get us started.- Rightclick/Scissors

Replacing the drivers in old vintage cans
I've seen a tasty looking pair on ebay, but I'd like to get some quality sound out of them. Is it ambitious to think I could open up a pair of headphones, gut the drivers, and solder some better, more modern ones into the cups? What are the major pitfalls? First timer here.- Rightclick/Scissors
