After reading this thread I want to buy a pair of the 880's or the 990's but one question, will my Little Dot I+ be able to drive these phones alright? Sadly I'm thinking no...- mango salsa

K701 thread
Quick question for the owners, will the K701 sound ok from a Keces DA-151 and a Little Dot I+ amp? I've been wanting to get the K701's, and want to know if its worth buying it with my current setup. Also, how do they sound with trance and electronic music?- mango salsa

Portable amp for Beyer DT770 80 ohm?
Are there any good portable amps out there that'll help bring the DT770 pro 80's to life when using an ipod or portable cd player? Is the Fiio E5 worth the money or would I be wasting money by buying one of those? Are there any other worthwhile portable amps out there I should look into or are...- mango salsa

REVIEW: Keces DA-151 DAC 800+ hours burn-in
how noticeable is the difference between the Mk1 version and the newer Mk2 version that is now on ebay? is it worth getting a newer one or am I better off just looking for a used Mk1 for cheaper? is the difference substantial enough to warrant me going for the Mk2? sorry for the noobness, I...- mango salsa

Help me choose a DAC for around $150 price range
another quick question, forgive me because I am a noob, but using a DAC (such as the Keces DA-151) will sound much better than an ipod as a source correct? I am currently using my ipod only because the sound coming straight from my computer and through my LDI+ is pathetic and I am looking to buy...- mango salsa

Help me choose a DAC for around $150 price range
I think I am going to go with the Keces DA-151. I can get an Mk1 version cheaper than the Mk2 version that I see on ebay, but the question is, is there any noticeable difference in sound quality between the two? Do you think it'll be worth it to spend the extra money for the upgrades on the Mk2...- mango salsa

Help me choose a DAC for around $150 price range
Well I just received my LD I+ today and it sounds great with my Beyer DT770/80........ but only out of my ipod... I no longer have the HotUSB1, which actually did a pretty good job making my laptop listenable. When I tried plugging into my laptop however, it sounded pretty horrible to be honest...- mango salsa

Help me choose a DAC for around $150 price range
I am currently running a HotUSB1 dac/amp, it was my first purchase and attempt to try and make my Beyer DT770/80 come alive. I am noticing that I am getting more sound detail from using this current setup, but i want more because I have decided to upgrade my setup a bit. I just purchased a...- mango salsa

Little Dot I+ or II+ for Beyer DT770
Which amp would work best with my Beyer DT770 pro 80 ohm? I am totally new to amps and such, and what I've gathered from reading on this forum is that the Little Dot I+ is better for lower impedance phones. But would it be better to go bigger and better by going with a LD II+? Is bigger better...- mango salsa

hotaudio40 's amps
well its still pretty premature to make any assumptions. I have about 3 hours on these now, I'll give an update as things go along. One thing I am noticing is that even only with 3 hours burn in, the bass has gotten closer to the level of bass I was getting through my ipod on the 'electronic'...- mango salsa

ok. I'll update you guys later after I listen to some more music and get some more burn in time. Sound quality might improve with more burn in, but I don't think sound volume will which seems to be very similar to my ipod. or will it? Im listening to my computer here at work at full volume and...- mango salsa

not good. I already ordered the HotUSB1 last week. I was on a budget and it seemed like a good bang for my buck piece of equipment. I hope it works out ok with my DT770 80's. I guess I'll be the guinea pig on this one.- mango salsa
