The Icon Mobile does a decent job driving the Denon D2000s.  I know from experience and Headphone Addict has a detailed review on the Icon Mobile and how well it performs with the Denons.  It's not going to replace a desktop, but if your headphones are a good match, it's an inexpensive upgrade.

Yeah, there are a couple tubes in the EF2.  The iBasso doesn't have any tubes.     The EF2 isn't portable either....   Search...read...learn.

No one is replying because, if you search, you'll find more info on this subject than you could possibly read in an entire weekend.   If you think you can afford 650s, but can't afford a full-size amp, then I'd say you can't really afford 650s.

Mine have the holes, but I'm not sure they're bass ports.  These are surprisingly light on the low end....nothing like the D2000s.

My 770/600s will be here from BH tomorrow...I'll post whether they have the ports or not.  $185 shipped was too good to pass up.  I'm guessing they'll be an adequate replacement for the D2000s I let go a few months back.

I used a NuForce Icon Mobile with D2000s and it sounded great.  Even though they're low impedance, they need good synergy or a decent amount of power to drive them properly.
