Email Notifications for Watched/Subscribed Threads
As someone who subscribes to a number of threads and checks in on them throughout the day via my email client, I'm not a fan at all of the new email format that only includes the first few characters of each post. (Also, notification seemed to break entirely for me on 2/2.) Is there a way for...- Spankypoo

Focal Utopia General Discussion
I just had my right driver spontaneously fail, less than half a year after purchase. If the known issues with early production batches were identified and resolved, why is this still happening?- Spankypoo

Massdrop PLUS Universal IEM
Their tuning somehow graphs similar to the Etys (elevated sub-to-midbass aside), but I find them to be vastly inferior to the ER4s or UERMs in performance. In addition, the highs roll off very quickly. As a big fan of the ER4 series and the UERMs, it hasn’t been my experience that the Massdrop...- Spankypoo

Apple Beats X mod for IEM
Does anyone know what the output impedance is? -
Radsone EarStudio ES100
The big thing here is that it retain the fine adjustment of volume. iOS's volume steps are way too big for many headphones, and the high-resolution control the ES100 affords is a big part of its appeal. It's the first digital volume control I actually like.- Spankypoo

Focal Utopia General Discussion
I'm on my second pair of Utopias. The dealer was a little reluctant to swap the first time, but this second pair is having issues and they're talking about repairing it. Both build issues. So perhaps the poll should be: "How many times have you needed to have your Utopias replaced or repaired...- Spankypoo

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out
If it's a hub problem, then how does that explain those who have the noise while it's plugged directly into the computer's USB? (And tested on multiple computers.) (US customer, here.)- Spankypoo

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out
Another customer here to whine about the whine. I hear it on everything from Sennheiser MX500s to JH13s. I've tried it through my USB hub, without it, plugged into a USB charger or a laptop running only on battery. Whine every time. And everything in the configurations I've tried is...- Spankypoo

ADC recommendations? (DAC, too.)
I've got a project that I'm trying to select an ADC for, and I'm wondering what the cream-of-the-crop stuff is these days. I'll potentially be using a number of 'em, so it'd be nice if they weren't insanely pricey. They do need to be of very high quality, but I don't need them to be made from...- Spankypoo

What're your first impressions of the comparison between the two? I know you want to give it some time, but we don't. ;)- Spankypoo

Current Best Value - REO for $80 or TF10 for $170
I've owned both, and I vastly prefer the RE0. (YMMV.) The RE0 isn't without its flaws, but at identical prices I'd still have a much easier time living with it. A $90 difference? RE0 hands down. Edit: That said, if you liked the TF10s and think their sound is worth $170, just buy another...- Spankypoo

Player for cycling
Pick anything cheap, fairly water-(sweat)-resistant, and, if you're so inclined, one that clips on. I'd say go Sansa Clip or iPod Shuffle (2nd gen). Anything cheap works. Also, set your volume before you start riding. It's easy to crank it while riding only to figure out that you've been...- Spankypoo

Blackberry Curve to Corda Move possible?
Won't work, for a number of reasons. USB port on the BlackBerry can't act as a host device; the BlackBerry's OS doesn't support piping the audio-out over USB, etc.- Spankypoo
