well that settles it. im going to lurk around and buy a pair of sr225's. hopefully i can get them cheap ($150?)

i don't have a DAC or an amp (although ill probably get the fiio e5) does anyone think it's worth the extra 100 bucks to buy an sr225 over sr80? can anyone think of other places to buy used cans besides here, ebay, craiglist, amazon?

buy an audio technica ad700 for the same price unless you have to have that 'grado' sound or a big bass head.

i think they're good for rock, fabulous clarity and not so in head sounding as the comparably priced sr80's

probably the best 100 dollar phones besides maybe the grado sr80. i think they're better than my friend's hd 595's which cost twice as much. don't get too head-fied, keep it cheap!

They are a real steal at 98. I think they're the most comfortable headphoens i have and i have a huge freakin head. I think the bass has good quality but the impact is kinda weak. i don't use an amp but they probably wouldn't help much anyway. Great for classical and movies, the soundstage is...

i enjoy my shure e4's a lot they block out pretty much all the noise even in a noisy environment. plus they sound great!
