what does stepped attenuaters improve on the mohr. increase in volume ? increase in clarity ? used with hd600/cardas and dt770 pro

anyone listened to the pioneer and sony headphone surround units. i have senn hd 600 and dt 770 pro also have mohr. anybody listen to the sony mdr 5100 or mdr 8000. i have read review by j madeiros about the pioneer.

waiting for del. of mohr to go with senn 600 and cardas cable still trying figure out which dvd/cd player to get. considering sony 755 or phillips 963sa. i also just got sky fi xm radio with home adapter kit. i got a great tax refund!
