Hello, My question is do I need an amp. I have a McIntosh C42 preamplifier. It has a headphone jack. I use Senn HD-600 phones. I am considering getting an RSA HR-2. Will this be better than the jack on the preamp? Is not a headphone amp just a preamp? I have never tried a dedicated headphone...
