Bought two gec 6080s off langrex a month back, very happy with sound but after a week or so one went noisy on startup. The question I'm asking is I don't really know whether to replace the noisy tube as the noise is gone within 7-10 minutes after startup, then there is no more noise after that...

Just bought 2 x GE 6AS7GA with these values, tube 1 115 - 6.3 120 - 6.3 tube 2 113 - 6.3 111 - 6.1 Firstly is it safe to use these tubes in a Woo Audio WA22, as they are not an exact match, and secondly what is the benefit of an exactly matched pair of tubes?

I've bought some Sony xba-40's from japan last week, still waiting for them to pass customs, can someone give me some pointers as to spot if they are fake or not, preferably with some pictures.   It was via amazon.co.uk for £152 from samurai markt, no e in market.
