Could these two go together effectively?

Its obvious that I have very little knowledge when it comes to audio. Can someone explain to me what it means when a headphone is described as warm, cold, bright, or dark?

I'm looking for a good dolby headphone receiver that I can plug into my PS3 and Xbox for movies and gaming. I'm hoping to keep the cost under $300-400. Any suggestions?

My headphones are DT880 and D2000. I'm trying to decide which set up I would be better off with in terms of quality for my headphones for my PS3 (movies and games). I don't currently own an a/v receiver or the jvc-su-dh1. Which one do you guys think would make for better sound quality? If an...
