Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
By God they've done it. That's amazing that they engineered electrostatic technology into such a tiny package.- ForShure

Reply to review by 'forshure' on item 'Pro-Ject Audio - Hear it One - Audiophile stereo headphone - Black'
@GearMe wow that's quite a collection you have going there. I haven't listened to many of those headphones on your list but the M50's and Amperior's definitely sounded better to me according to my memory. I think a fair price for this headphone would be right around $75 if that helps any.- ForShure

Review by 'ForShure' on item 'Pro-Ject Audio - Hear it One - Audiophile stereo headphone - Black'
Introduction I would like to start this review off by saying thank you to the folks at Pro-Ject Audio systems for lending me a pair of their brand new Hear-it-One headphones. Pro-Ject has made a name for themselves through their highly regarded turntables and accessories. I own a...- ForShure

Custom Art's First Foray into Acrylic CIEMs: Ei.3
Been interested in trading my Shure Se535's for my first set of customs for some time. After reading many positive reviews on the Ei. 3 I am thinking about ordering them but I want to ask everyone who already received their pair how smooth the transaction was and about the customer service at...- ForShure

Why the Beats Hate?
I'm not sure why so many people are praising the new Beats headphones when they still don't sound very good. Audiophiles are now drinking the kool-aid like everyone else apparently.- ForShure

Review- VPI Nomad Turntable
Sorry I meant phono stage couldn't be bypassed but the line levels do let you connect other components. But I think you're paying for mostly the headphone amp and phonostage built into the unit. If you have the components already it is unnecessary to spend the extra, plus the headphone amp on...- ForShure

Review- VPI Nomad Turntable
The Nomad got me into turntables and now I own a Pro-Ject Debut. I'm sure after you hear the Nomad you will start getting into vinyl as well. Beware though because it can get addicting!- ForShure

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Random question, but since everyone here seems to like vintage gear do any of you guys still listen to cassette tapes on occasion? I've been rediscovering some of my old tapes this past week and loving how they sound. They aren't nearly as detailed or clean sounding as digital or good vinyl but...- ForShure

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Going back to an old school portable setup just for kicks. I know a lot of people hate on cassette tapes because they don't match up to the sound quality of digital or vinyl but there's something about tapes that sound special. While they aren't as detailed or clean sounding, they sound more...- ForShure

You Know You're an Audiophile When.. Version 2!
I was not expecting anything but damn, I've never heard my headphones sound that good. The soundstage is like 100 times larger now. So this whole upsampling thing, are there other programs that do it and why doesn't everyone use this sort of technology?- ForShure

Chicago Area Meet - Saturday April 25 - Part of the Ear Gear Expo at AXPONA 2015
I brought my DAP last year and was glad I did. Most vendors have their own music but are happy to let you listen to your own source as well. I also brought my iem's but didn't use them at all. I wouldn't bring full size cans unless you want to carry them around all day. I also recommend...- ForShure

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
My dap is the iPod 5.5gen Rockboxed using the headphone out. I am using the Ultimate Ears cable. I have tired the fiio e10 and Ibasso D-Zero with my iPod and it does not improve the sound to my ears.- ForShure

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
Ugh, so I really don't know what to do. The SE535's have been my go to portable headphone for the past 4 years and they have served me very well. However I have never been absolutely blown away by their sound. I love the lush midrange but something about the sound just seems to be lacking, too...- ForShure

You are correct. It is a Pro-ject Debut III. I bought it off a guy on craigslist for $225 and it was almost new. So far it has been musical, easy to use, and gotten me into vinyl more. The sound can sometimes sound a bit cluttered but with a better cartridge I think it would clear up. Overall...- ForShure

Review- VPI Nomad Turntable
I was the first person to review the tt and right out of the box there was no motor noise. It's sad to hear that their quality control is lacking. And it's not because it's a "cheap" turntable either. I purchased my first turntable last month which was a Pro-ject Debut III and I've had no...- ForShure

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Thanks for the help guys. Last night I opened it up and cleaned off everything and replaced the dead light bulbs, now it looks good as new! If I could describe the sound in one word I would say it's powerful. The soundstage is huge and it really seems to take command of the music. The only bad...- ForShure
