    Anybody experienced greening IEM cables?

I have a degree in EE.  In order to obtain an EE degree, you must have Calculus based Physics background, and basic level of Chemistry.  EE covers many disciplines such as Power electronics, Wireless communications, Analog circuitry, Digital circuitry, Signal processing, Semiconductors.  So an...

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

We're getting off topic here, but was referring to various loads.  Well, the specs can state that for a specific headphone.  But I was referring to headphone as load in general(for all headphones), headphones varies in impedance therefore in general, power.  I really don't think V causes dB of...

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

dB/mW, it is power dependent.  it is not dB/V.  loudness is caused by current applied to an impeding element, which is power.  you can have voltage without power applied, it's called open voltage.    @Nikon.  It's usually with you, and I can solve that problem with the ignore feature.  ...

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

I'm just trying to get some answers, no need to get offensive.  You need to chill the f out with your sarcasms.  And you're wondering why insults were thrown around.     Quote:

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

I think I got it, the combination of the adaptor and the transducer as load should be a voltage divider of the noise voltage.  Therefore the noise voltage is divided between the resistor(taking chunk of the noise voltage) and the transducer, therefore the output noise is less.  But still don't...

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

Ok, that makes sense since the equation calculates the noise voltage at the output, and with IEM at the load, audibility of the hiss will be determined by the headphone impedance(V^2/Z) and therefore the power which determine the loudness of the noise.  But, I still don't understand how an...

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

Actually my question is related to sensitive IEMs and it's relationship to equipment supplying audio signal if you read my title and what I have written above.  The data sheet doesn't cover how audible hiss is caused at the transducer's output for certain headphones. I know the theory behind...

    Using Two DACs?

I think the differential amps have two amps with 180 phase difference, amp the signals and outputs the difference which would cancel out the DC offset.  You would need two amps per channel to do so.  I think it is a solution to having lower output impedance at the DAC end.

Hissing on sensitive IEMs from different sources(DAPs, AMPs)

I have stated this question on another thread, but it has gotten locked, and hopefully I can get a good explanation this time.  I'll try to be clearer with my question this time.     I was curious why my tube amp(Elekit TU882) would cause hiss even at it's lowest impedance setting( 4-32ohm)...

    Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread

Line out or heaphone out?  Want me to source it to my tube amp, instead of my Audinst?  I think it is the amp that makes the difference.  I don't think source is going to change the sound much, not enough that I will notice.  I never really was a fan of the line out of Sflo2.     You want me...

    Similarities between HD800 and K70X

Lets hope you don't have crap ears.  I believe amp make more of difference than source.  I could be wrong though, I haven't done enough comparisons.  But I know how clean the amp is makes a huge difference for good monitors.   Quote:

    Similarities between HD800 and K70X

Cool thanks.  Also, please make sure the amp is quality because HD800 very delicate to how clean the amp is.  If you have a crap amp, HD800 is going to sound like crap.

    Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread

Woohoo!  Got my 600 today.  When I first listen to them, I thought something was missing.  That was out of my Audinst though,  then I plugged it to my tube amp.  Just like how I remembered the 1000, wide sound stage and smooth sound like my full sized can(HD650).  I guess, these need more power...

How is hissed caused on IEMs?

^If you can't explain, please don't waste my thread space. What you typed above is pretty much waste time and space, and gets in the way of answering my question.  Please do not post response to my thread anymore.  Thanks.

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

IMO, it has good amount of very clean bass.  I think it depends on the fit and bass preference.  To me it fits good enough for sufficient bass, but to other that prefer crazy amound of bass it may disappoint.  I also noticed my fit could be better, it would present the sound with more bass and...

Sony EX1000 Review and Impressions Thread (with comparisons to FX700, GR10 and e-Q5)

There is something really wrong here.  Pianist, you should just make a thread called, what I think...  And it would be what you think.  To me ER4P sounds great with certain DAPs.  Certain DAPs have greater amount of power output, and different output impedance.  It is not simple as saying it...

How is hissed caused on IEMs?

I'm sure some one understands why hiss is caused on amps for sensitive IEMs can explain it.  Below is not an explaination.  I don't think you really know.  If you knew, you can explain it the say this is how is caused, this part has significance over other, circuit configurations, etc.  I'm...
