compared to all the 3 versions i know of, but i prefer the early version. I bought the K260 professional and a K280 parabolic ( and some other AKG’s ) but i sold them all again as i did not like the sound as much as the sextettes. But it is all a matter of personal taste. :)

...k280 has it's merit, and is too much overlooked. Crazy because a poland site measured them and they're almost on par with the linearity of the K260 that MrTech reviewed as amazing in some fronts, but instead trashed the k280 ( probably his was somehow defective and who don't like the sound...

So, rotated the Wangs through all sextetts, 240M, DF, and the K260. In most K240 cases they add space and separation, but at the cost of a little midrange energy. On the sextetts it certainly altered the sound but not in a bad way. I like it, but it does pull a little energy out of the mids...

thanks for sharing! I have Wang pads for my HD250 linear 1. So maybe I’ll try it on the sextett also. Speaking of the K260 I also have a pair and really enjoy them! I’ve also been told it’s like a hybrid of those 2.

I actually prefer the Tak 580 to HE 560, though I never tried the Sundara. I did AB then just threw one cup from each headphone on each ear and just full on preferred the 580. I'll probably be selling a few of my other planars to be honest. Hoping whoever is OEM for the driver keeps it up...
