    Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47

Got my NW-A45 today. So far, I like it a lot. Haven't quite got the sound I want dialed in yet but it's a matter of playing with the equalizer and all the various filters/processors until I get there. Seems to mate really well with my Sennheiser PX-100s. Have not tried any IEM's with it yet but...

    Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47

Just bought an NW-A45 from B&H for what seemed like a good price ($150). Pretty stoked. Except for having to wait a whole week to get it. I was gonna buy the Fiio M6 for the same price but when I saw the price on the Sony I had to do it. I've had a couple different Walkmans over the years and...

    Cowon Plenue D

Yeah, I don't care about phone stuff, if I need to do phone stuff I'll use my phone for that. Looking for exceptional sound quality, sound tweakability, basic good functionality (the more basic, the better tbh) and good battery life. gonna go ahead and order one from Amazon

    Cowon Plenue D

Forgive my laziness for not reading through the whole thread, but is this thing as good as it appears to be? Looking at picking one up. I am currently using Apgtek Rocker but the battery life has me down on it.

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

Well, that just sounds like you have a faulty battery and not something that's indicative of the entire production line. I've had mine for close to 2 years and I consistently get 8+ hours while fiddling with it a lot. Which is still bad, don't get me wrong (I'm probably gonna get a Plenue D...

Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable

I bought a U-turn as well so I could compare the two. I've decided the Monolith is better for everyday use, not only because of the auto-stop but also because the removable headshell design makes it much faster and easier to swap cartridges. Plus I don't have to take the belt off to change...

Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable

Well, you all seem to have much nicer turntables than me. But I must say, this thing sounds pretty darn good. Technics SL-B20. I bought it off a guy from Craigslist about 5 years ago for 30 bucks. It was running like a top when I got it and still is. I have zero complaints as far as the sound...

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

If you can get a T6 for $50 that's a hell of a lot cheaper than the $80 the Rocker is currently going for on Amazon - for what is the exact same thing with a different name stamped on the back. I like the hell out of mine, with the only drawback being the crappy battery life. Obviously sound...

I looked at the S1 for a while but figured it was too good to be true. I may need to revisit it. What's the navigation, volume changes, etc. like?

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

What would be the best KZ model to try for a kind of warm sound? For certain kinds of music I'm listening to lately, I like a bit of a midbass hump. My Awei ES800s are pretty amazing sounding but they make my ears hurt after a while, looking for something with a similar sound that's a little...

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

I'll let you know when it dies completely. Still playing at 12% but last time it got around this low it died. For my purposes, anything over about 8 hours is fine. I have a Clip+ that gets like 40 hours on a charge, which is amazing, but the truth is I probably never listened to it for more...

    Obscure Chinese DAPs

Spent more time with the X22, updated to the Agptek firmware, which is a little easier on the eyes but functionally no different from what I can tell. This player sounds really good, and I mean, REALLY, REALLY GOOD, and the battery life is great, I mean REALLY REALLY GREAT. It's a shame the...

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

Tried ED4. I want to like them but the sibilance is just beating me up. I think maybe if I had some longer tips to go on them, maybe foam to dampen down the treble a bit, I'd like them more. Have ED9 and ZSE on the way. Want to try the IE8 clones too.

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

I'm finding the battery gauge to be a little wonky. Most my player will charge up to is 91%. The second I unplug it, it drops to 87%. Seems like it drops to 60% after an hour or so of listening, but then I get a solid 3-4 hours of listening in and it's still at 48%. Reminds me of a car I used to...

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

I have found it difficult while theme making to find a font that's a good size. 12-NotoSans-Bold seems to be a good option that splits the difference between visibility and having your titles scroll all the time. I hate scrolling titles and artist names.

https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/RockboxExtras Follow links there. Once you've downloaded them, you'll need to go into your rockbox folder, find the "fonts" folder, and dump them all in there.

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

It's difficult to say if the battery w/Rockbox is worse, but if it is, I don't think it's significantly worse. I use mine around 5-6 hours a day at work and it usually shows maybe 20% battery by the time I turn it off and go home. It's hard to compare because the original firmware doesn't have...

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

Rockbox downsamples to 16/44.1, or I believe 16/48. it'll play the 24/96 track, and the track info will show that it's a 24/96 file, but it truncates everything above 16/48.

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

Sometimes luck, but there are certain devices they have made efforts to extend battery life. Last update for the Clip+ put it at near 40 hours. Hopefully they do the same for the Rocker at some point, because the battery is honestly kinda crap. I need to do a battery test but I'd be shocked if...

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

I haven't read through the whole thread, but has anybody taken apart one of these things? I assume that piece of glass/plastic on the back pries off and you go from there. Mostly just curious but I might not mind doing a battery upgrade at some point.

    XDUOO NANO D3 24bit/192Khz DSD256 portable DAP-Info and impressions

Sansa Clip + headphone output is 15 mW @ 16 ohms Rocker's headphone output is 46 mw @ 16 ohms And don't get me wrong, the Clip+ is still brilliant. I'm not bashing it by any means. Rockbox has nothing to do with power output, it does allow you to fine-tune the sound but it cannot alter the...

The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

Got my Rocker v2 today and I really like it. It's so much nicer than what I expected from the pictures. I'll like it better when the Rockbox port is done but it's still very usable. It's a fingerprint magnet and some of the keymapping is very non-intuitive, but once I got my equalizer settings...
