    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

Hey Dubbed Man ,so you got the MDs , how you liking them? some pretty powerful bass on these dude ! when i amp these up with my solo srg2 and Yamaha rig the mid bass is mind blowing ,i don't really like jazz music much ,even on these but heavy rock and metal they sure can pound it out , and you...

Looking For Ultra-High-Capacity MP3 Player Options?

My cowon x7 is a very good sounding player and does not require an amp for use with iems and has 160gb and is simple to use.   For my music transport in my home system i use an Archos 48 which has a 500GB hard drive and is around the same size as the x7 just a bit thicker and as a portable...

Balanced signature with slight warmth/color, strong punchy bass, sparkly treble, high isolation, mids not recessed

I agree with the statement that the vocals are upfront on the w3 , they definitely are not shy or recessed at all ,combined with the bright treble the vocals can be very sibilant for some people ,including me , i overcome this by using two monster foam supertips on comply cores to eliminate the...

Balanced signature with slight warmth/color, strong punchy bass, sparkly treble, high isolation, mids not recessed

Both the sm3 and se535 sound there most exciting when eq,ed ,but i enjoy the sm3 far more than the se530 for rock music ,and the sm3 is a very easy fit in the ear as apposed to the se535 which is really very hard to get to stay in position without sliding out my ears and is far less comfortable...

    expanding headphone collection?

Akg Q701 is very different from those two , it is neutral, very large soundstage ,analytical and very detailed treble , very little mid and upper bass.   Pro 900 , small 3d soundstage , strong treble and lower mids ,sounds wonderful for electric guitars ,punchy bass but not to strong   ...

    Which IEM? €250 budget. IE8 / SE425 / EX700 / TF10 / W2 / UE 700 ?

Quote: My E11 has a silent output with all the headphones and iem's i have used with it ! and it is a very good amp with tones of power and two decent bass settings and great value for money.i did not like my friends E5 when i tried it though ,it is little more than a toy with very little...

    Which IEM? €250 budget. IE8 / SE425 / EX700 / TF10 / W2 / UE 700 ?

Quote: The tf10 does isolate well as long as you have large ear channels to get a secure fit as they have a large diameter sound tube and most of there body sits outside of the ear making them slip out if the seal is not tight ,they are the best sounding iem in your list though. The...

Quote: Yes i did mean the earpads lol .   I have to disagree about there sound with the stock earpads , i find them to be similar in sound quality and sound signature as the Q701 in many ways especially the bass which is not at all flabby or fat ,there is a little more mid/upper...

    Sony MDR-XB1000 vs Denon AH-D2000 - Coming from XB700's

Listening to the album HIGH VOLTAGE ,by ACDC right now on the pro 900 , sounds great ! electric guitar sounds awesome ,only criticism i have is cymbals clashes are brimming over with tones of energy so much so that it makes them a bit unnatural sounding ,

    Sony MDR-XB1000 vs Denon AH-D2000 - Coming from XB700's

I do not place much faith in Graphs anyway as they are funny things anyway and only tell half the story, they are measured by a machine right ? and not a human ear further more everybody's hearing and perception of sound is different ,the only true way to find out how something sounds is to try...

Monster Turbine Pro Copper vs Monster Turbine Pro Gold

Yes you heard right ,Go with the golds for those genres, and comfort and isolation are pretty good and both models are the same shape and size , with the same tips so there will be no difference in that regard.

    Impressions & Loaner Tour || TFTA-2100-2V1S

Quote: Well i do like my bass to be powerful with plenty of slam and hit hard with my rock and blues music but it is not my only concern ,mids are just as important to me ,i love my vocals to be clean and smooth and for guitars to really shine and take center stage and i like to...
