Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)

Some of these portable rigs seem to amaze me. Such a thickened device due to the stacking; I find that kind of unyielding. Well, they are much better than my Portable Rig, which is just a HTC Desire 530 and the Sennheiser MX375 Earbuds. I use Neutron Music Player with Neon.

ZMF Atticus and Eikon: Official Announcement and Give-away

On the website, they say that they're sensitive and can run from some phones. I find that quite vague. What phones are able to drive them?

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I am absolutely interested in Eikon because of sub bass. I listen to EDM and that sub bass is key.

    Hello Headfiers.

I wouldn't mind using a separate amp but my Sound Blaster E3 can't stack well with the setup I am thinking of. I'll think about getting T20RP or T40RP when I have the setup.

I don't know if a DAP is worth my money. Most of them costs £400 in the UK. Maybe not. Nice setup though. What headphones do you use for portable use?

Well, I love my Sennheiser with metal music. Just clarity and a very fast driver for the money. I need to find a way to add the SoundBlaster onto the back of my phone.

I wouldn't bring £900 headphones around. I think anything under £400 and closed might be a better option.

I know it was a joke. I'd sure love to take a HDVD800 and strap it to my mobile to make the ultimate portable rig.

The SoundBlaster E3 is connected via Bluetooth to my Samsung Galaxy S4.Thr headphones are The House of Marleys Positive Vibrations. Sometimes I bring my Sennheiser HD 202. My next post will be the Sennheiser HD 202 connected to the SoundBlaster E3 which is connected via OTG to my phone.

Just looking at all these amazing setups, I see the crowd's favourite DAC AMP is the Chord Mojo. Is it really good? I heard that they are amazing buti don't think I have good enough headphones or music for that. I might post my setup tomorrow.

Somic v2 Headphone Review by mark2410

You can use an DAC amplifier but your PC might be able to power them. The sound should be balanced but just a bit warmer. They are fully open as well.

No worries. Look around the website. You'll find lots of information. I just recently wrote up a review on one of my headphones that I own.

    Trying to get into hi-fi

Even though these can be ran without an amp, I'm sure these can be brought to their full potential with a DAC Amplifier. The Creative SoundBlaster E1 for $60 is a great amp and DAC and quite efficient headphones do get deafening loud when you put it at max volume compared to how small it is.

    Trying to get into hi-fi

I mainly listen to 320 KBPS MP3 , but I have a few WAVS, FLAC and AIFFs. Your safest bet to get HQ music is to buy them.

Are there any portable headphone amps/DAC that have mic-in apart from the Creative/Soundblaster E1/E3/E5?

The creative sound blaster e1, e3 and e5 has a built in mic and comes with a nice software suite. It also have 2 headphone jacks which one of them can be turned into a mic in. Well, E3 has great sound quality for its price.

    Trying to get into hi-fi

As you were a user of beats, I'd suggest buying headphones that have a warmer sound, typically closed back. They will emphasise more on bassand won't lose treble volume, just smooth out the treble. You could also go with "v" shape sounding headphones but the mids sound quieter.
