Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

Also regarding the lifeatec and hearing more air, I once thought that too. Eventually the sound become brittle and harsh and that’s when I noticed the connector was not fully inserted. You should hear a click when it’s fully inserted.

Why go through the effort of physically taking out the WiFi/Bluetooth chip when one could simply just turn it off in settings?

Chromecast audio - can anyone comment on sound quality?

This product is also a good chrome cast alternative: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223240674533 Plus it can store local files on a micro sd card.

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Sounds to me like the AK380 is definitely the better source. I've experienced this before and when there is less RF noise the volume is usually less and you want to turn it up.

    CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE

I think I know why Rob does not recommend the kabeldirekt optical and it may have to do with his laptops 3.5mm port. On my Msi labtop the the 3.5mm can occasionally get stuck and a few times it even popped out the metal ring. Since the OP’s source is using a standard jack this won’t be an issue..

It’s not wishful thinking , it’s my personal truth even though you may not agree with it. And that’s perfectly fine that you don’t, my opinion remains the same :)

It's sort of a grey area if you know what I mean. if it helps, think of it as a little white lie:k701smile: Not everyone haggles when buying audio gear, but those that do usually end up with a better price ;)

You can also roll different power banks until you get the sound you desire. Each power bank sounds slightly different from the next if you do some listening tests, always go with the warmest smoothest sounding one and your ears will be rewarded in the long term :)

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread

If you could afford it the best way to find out is to buy TT without selling your 600i and do a head to head comparison. See what you prefer. It's also entirely possible that you will prefer TT+ 600i over standalone TT.

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread

Switching from the 2Qute to TT you should hear a wider and taller sound stage, more body in vocals and instruments, and slightly more lower level details. Whether this improvement is worth it is completely subjective. The sound signature will also lean to the richer/ darker side.

    Chord Mojo DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

Sadly it cannot be driven from a standard power bank, you would need to use a 36v battery and most portable ones top out around 24v. Monoprice was originally planning on making it into a battery powered amp at a higher price point but things changed along the way.

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

Hello Christer and others, from experience I have found that not all power banks sound the same, some sound more smooth and rich than others. After trying half a dozen I had at hand I would like to recommend my favorite so far...

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Rob is addicted to the instrumental power, flow, and superior timbre variation that the M Scaler provides, that aspect of sound is more important to him than the extra refinement, body, and power the TT2 has. Some other headfiers may feel the complete opposite as they look for different...

Chromecast audio - can anyone comment on sound quality?

Thanks for the info on the CCA, it was a good refresher; I have read Amirs review of the CCA previously as it was of interest to me. I'm well aware of its early limitations as well but for the price of entry, it really offers a lot. Btw, my impressions are purely subjective so take them with a...

Chromecast audio - can anyone comment on sound quality?

CCA analog output sounds pretty remarkable when it’s fed clean power from a power bank along with some clip on ferrites on the micro usb cable . I would take it over the Fiio x5 iii and Dragon flys any day. But with the stock ps it sounds a little edgy in the high end which is just RF noise..

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I see I guess the issue might be router specific. Anyways, the easiest solution to get chromecast working would be Ethernet as long as you’re still keen on using it as a source.
