Safe for DAC to burn-in 24/7?

My DAC was monitored for the first 24 hours, then left on 24/7. Has been powered off twice since January, I think... If it's good for the first few hours, and from a reputable source, the chances are it'll work very well for many hours to come. ~Phewl.

    MPD - Linux music player...

All my music is stored in:- /media/music/artist - album/track number - track name.extension /media/music/FLAC/artist - album/yadda... So I don't mind navigating through just a directory-based structure. But are there any frontends that will correctly organise music by artist, yet still...

Audio GD and too many dodgy Beresford threads

I think everyone on here with Audio-GD gear has paid for it, is very happy with the goods themselves, and extremely happy with the customer service they have received - I'm on of them. People buying goods, liking them, and being vocal about it - that's a good thing. Word of mouth from many...

    Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp

Sadly, I fear the €35 would likely have been put to better use by saving toward a new DAC... Lawrence has a reputation for leaving people out to dry. Ah... you're not English, I presume... he has a reputation for ignoring problems and hoping they will go away. ~Phewl.

What's up with the page numbers?

Ah, fair enough. I guess I should shut up now anyway, else I'll overstep the mark(more than I've already done so) and offend folks. ~Phewl.

What's up with the page numbers?

It's not just huge threads. The new Compass thread, with a total of 5 pages, is displaying that 6 are available. TBH it's a little worrying that nobody in "authority" has acknowledged the problem, as far as I've seen? ~Phewl.

    Your future job?

I've not seen it. Though I think the public will be most enthusiastic of a skinhead motorcyclist with a goatee taking care of them . Sadly, I think I may have to grow some hair and remove the lovely facial growth to satisfy them ~Phewl.

USB Laptop on battery vs Sound card in a pc. Such a huge difference. Why?

USB on the laptop, and USB from the desktop, both give exactly the same sound in my system. Do the Creative cards still resample and much around with the sound? Any chance you have ASIO configured on one, but not the other? ~Phewl.

I know that feeling. I started dabbling in 1997, and migrated my desktop in 2002. Moved back to Windows for a year when I was at uni(documents had to be submitted in Word and powerpoint formats, and Wine/etc were nowhere near as good), but Windows hasn't been on my desktop now since 2004...
