Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
It's not huge, but the newer batch sounds noticeably louder than the older batch. I had to dial down the volume. Safe to assume that the ASG1 I tested is an ASG1.2 with the new ASG1.3 drivers but old shells and accessories? It looked exactly like the one currently on ASG web store.- glac1er

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
I've just compared the older batch ASG 1.2 (with the old ASG logo) and the newer batch ASG 1.2 (one with the new logo). I should call the newer batch ASG 1.2 as the 1.25. The 1.25 strangely sounded noticeably brighter and IMO better because of it. I didn't like the 1.2 much since it was...- glac1er

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
I don't think the Beyer and GR07 sounds alike at all too. The Beyer has better transparency and clarity but has a trade off in its slightly artificial sounding treble. Something sounds off and dry between the mids and treble. The GR07 doesn't have that problem but tends to be more sibilant.- glac1er

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
Quote: Different stroke for different folks. Sometimes I don't get the re262 hype, considering they have such an awkward treble drop-off. Back to the GR07 for me. Would love to listen to the 7550 one day.- glac1er

Rockit Sounds R-50 Reviews and Impressions
Quote: I'm wondering if you'll say the same thing if you have them side by side, given your preference for bass.. Some days I think that the R50 is great or 'objectively better' is, but when i line it up against good dynamic IEMs, my hands seems to reach for the dynamics.- glac1er

FitEar F111 — Impressions, Reviews & Discussion (previously TO GO! 111)
Quote: Get a used ER4S and a suitable (not necessarily expensive) setup. Will save you a lot of money, and I personally don't think they are that far-off the F111, though YMMV. ER4S is already a high-end single BA and will give you a seamless midrange as well.- glac1er

TDK BA200 Thread
Quote: That's a lofty praise to even put the BA200 in the same sentence as the HD600. I personally didn't find the BA200's mids to be nearly as seductive as the HD600's, heck even among full-size headphones, HD600 mids is quite special (I'm a fan). Though I agree the BA200 is a...- glac1er

VSonic GR07 IEM shipping to MOST countries from Asia
Up for sale is a pair of Vsonic GR07 (mk1) IEM. The plug has been reterminated and the cable has turned a little green on some places. Other than that, they are perfect functionally and sonically. As pictured, only the IEM is included. No tips and no case, but the GR07 can easily be used with...- glac1er

JVC HA-FXZ 100/200
I auditioned the FXZ100/200 recently. Maybe this can be a help for some people on the fence. The 200 is a basshead IEMs for sure, if not the bassiest popular/FOTM IEM in head-fi. The bass is powerful but not the cleanest or the best controlled and bleeds a bit into the midrange as well...- glac1er

Best IEMs for under 250$
Quote: I personally found the dba02mk2 to still be quite clinical and somewhat lacking bass impact (not quantity) for some music. The only dual TWFK that is not too clinical IMO is the UE700. But really YMMV.- glac1er

Ocharaku: Flat-4-Sui. The Sound of Tea.
If you love dynamic range and prefer a dynamic driver IEM to the feeble BAs, I think the 4-SUI is worth a try. It actually fits me better than the GR07 (with GR07's silicone tips).- glac1er

Rockit Sounds R-50 Reviews and Impressions
My R-50 broke without much abuse. I think it has something to do with the tropical weather humidity. Similar to dba-02, I think the filter system could have been implemented better. The cabling looks similar to the original dba-02, which lacks some strain reliefs and can break under heavy usage...- glac1er

Vsonic GR07 MK2 - stunning new cable! | bio-cel tech IEM | now with review - see 2nd post
Gnarlsagan, I wonder if the RE0 will get substantial listening time with you having the ER4S and the dba02. Also interesting that besides the GR07, everything you listen to are heavily analytical IEMs (close to Ety's DF reference).- glac1er

TDK BA200 Thread
It's all relative. I don't think the SM3 sounds closed-in at all relative to most BAs out there (I'm using the Sensorcom or the supplied double flange silicons). The stage size is fairly big, not short like the ER4 (with the triflange), and bigger than all dual TWFK IEM's I've heard, though not...- glac1er

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Didn't expect the R-50 review to come out. Thanks for the review, joker :). They sound great for the price. On another note, my second hand R-50 recently broke on on side despite being babied quite a bit. I think the drivers might be affected by moisture. It doesn't help that Rock-it has...- glac1er

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
Quote: Great post! Couldn't have said it any better. Though I do agree that the BA200 can be an upgrade for some people, it is a bit difficult comparing mid-tier dynamic with BA IEMs (like comparing stats and dynamics for headphones), they have their + and - and a fundamentally...- glac1er

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
Quote: The UE900 doesn't sound mid-bassy at all to my ears. In fact, it is IMO one of the few BA IEMs out there that gets the bass right. Many are too bass-light, though lighter bass does help with perceived clarity. Still very interested in listening to the Heirs...- glac1er

T-Peos H-100 Hybrid IEM Appreciation Thread
Does the H-100 have some low mids suck out or even a small recession ala CKM500 and the JVC micro HD? I think Eke has pointed that out, but I'm wondering if anybody else think this area is a bit of an issue. I like the gr07, tfp and the eph-100 in spite of their treble qualities, but a...- glac1er

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Thanks for the review, ljokerl. i think you summed up the UE900 very well as ' the high-end earphone for the masses.' I think the UE900 is one of the best sounding universal IEM ever created for mainstream music, and for that reason alone I rank it above the SM3 and next to the ex1000. Still...- glac1er

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
I personally prefer the GR07 because of its overall tuning. But I have two friends who have listened to both for a while and think that the ASG is a much better IEM. The ASG has a better grain free mids, sounds more open and moves a lot of air (more tactile feel). But for me, not enough treble...- glac1er
