The Beats Pro are rather good (a Beats Pro Review)

The HDJ 2000's price due to it's being significantly more balanced sounding than all of its other DJ headphone rivals, despite the obvious midbass boost and slight treble roll-off. There's also a mod floating around somewhere that lessens sub bass roll-off.   It's more priced for a simple...

The Beats Pro are rather good (a Beats Pro Review)

Pioneer HDJ2000? If you're willing to be a bit spendy, then they're definitely a solid choice. Bassy sound sig without losing out too much on everything else. Looks nice and also built as well as VMODAs, which are notoriously tough. VMODA LP's and M-80's are also pretty good choices that won't...

Quote: If you take some pliers and flatten the pins on the stock cable again, they'll fit. I had to do that with my stock cable because one side had pins that kept falling out. Quality control issue.

Any anime series that you've been enjoying?

Accel World's latest ep was pretty funny.."There's no way my little sister is this cute". Made my day right there, even without subs.

(Coming Soon!) Klipsch Reference S4 IEMs

Quote:   You'll notice that it's mostly junior head-fiers that make the comment of Beats being absolute rubbish; I'd gamble that most haven't heard the Pros and/or/nor compared them to other headphones. In all honesty, I'll also agree, Beats aren't terrible. The Pro's sound is relatively...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

Going back to my HDJ500s just made my TF10s sound really bass light. Result of listening to armature bass for too long?   Aside from that, my UE cable is still holding up, despite massive abuse. The cable gets tugged hard enough to yank the IEMs out of my ears about...Once or twice a day...

bad trader!! crap, i need help!!!

Quote: Ouch, hope it works out for all the folks that got scammed. Maybe a little humor to lighten the mood then? If only 80's television was reality, then all we need is a certain team of crack commandos that was tried for a crime they didn't commit and also promptly escaped from a...

Earsonics SM3 vs UE TF 10 vs Westone 4

^Agreed with above. Many people just can't get it to fit, even with the flip mod. That being said, stock cable is horrendous depending on the weather. If it's warm(60+ degrees), it's decent and not too hard to wrangle with. If it hits 50 degrees or lower, it starts having problems.

Sick of Apples headphones and still can't find anything to fit my needs. Need Help!

Why not Westone TS1? I know you find Shure's cables uncomfortable but generally, Westone cables are ridiculously limp and pretty much unnoticeable. No memory wire either.

    I need an advice between 0 - 99 $ in ear headphones.

Buy a $100 amazon gift card then, and use it on Amazon. Much easier to pick there. I'd get an SE215.

Triplefi 10 ordered, anything I need to know?

iPad...Maybe. If you can run a DT770 PRO 80ohm out of it just fine, then a TF10 will be fine. Reason for this...   Peaks at 64.5, bottoms out at 6.5. Probably needs an amp...

Quote:   You sure it's not the mic cable? I'd be very concerned if they were cheaping out to that extent...Next cable I get if that's the case will probably be a Chris Himself w/i one of those Valabs plugs or one of the nicer Sunricky cables(Marine Heart?). Reasonably priced and...

    IEMs vs on/over ear headphones

You may want to be wary of unauthorized dealers...If it's one of those, Westone won't honor the warranty so if they conk out or the cable goes, you're screwed - unless you know a bit of soldering and aren't afraid to take your IEMs apart. If that's the case, you can probably put in a...

So many choices, so limited budget :D

Quote:   S4 has long been completely outdone by things below its price point. The fact that one (I want to say foolish) CNET editor gushed about it means nothing. What most consumers look for nowadays are loudness and earthshaking bass. Result.   GR07, TripleFi10, SE215, and GR06...

    Headphone Sightings 2

Some bloke with IE8's on the green line today. At least, I think, since it had a Sennheiser jack and fit the shape of one. That aside, the T's recent service cuts are ridiculous. There's less trains inbound on a weekday than weekends last year.

Volume too high with Westone UM2 and phone/mp3 player

If you have cyanogenmod7 installed as a custom rom, you can use dsp manager to adjust the overall volume down a few dB. A bit crude, but it does work.
