For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?
Alright thanks for that information. I'll see how it sounds without the jumpers once I have enough time for another extended listening session. Though I am worried that my more sensitive headphones might not fare so well. So I just remove completely the jumpers for headphone gain (3, and 4)...- Asterisk3095

For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?
I actually only got the DAC1 a few days ago, so my impressions of it are still shifting. I also have very little experience with different amps and DACs (this is my second DAC/amp i've gotten), so my ears aren't exactly trained to hear the differences as of yet, but I'll try to voice what I'm...- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Final update: HEDD Audio eventually directed me to their US distributor, RAD Distribution for a replacement. They were very easy to work with, and I got a replacement unit. Though that replacement unit arrived broken... the swivel mechanism was broken (I assume damaged during shipping. the box...- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Second update on the HP1 cracked earcups situation: The Source AV (retailer I bought them from) said that unfortunately they have no more new units in stock; told me they couldn't order any more units(????). HEDD Audio offered me a future discount on the recently released V2, but I declined as...- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Well for reference, I rarely need to adjust the headband of a headphone by more than 1 notch. I can't even wear headphones with auto-adjusting headbands since the pads pull down on my ears. Meanwhile I can fully extend the headband of my HEDDphone, and it still fits over my ears- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
They did not screw up V2, it's simply a slight departure from the sound of the V1. Most people seemed to like the V2 better. Just not my kinda thing for the same reason I don't like Hifiman headphones (too dry; not super engaging). Also, I really like the weight of the V1, but the V2 totally...- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Thank you! Suspecting that it is a early production unit because the headband also doesn't extend very far. I didn't buy this unit through HEDD Audio either; bought it through The Source AV's store (because they were pretty heavily discounted at $1100 (yes, The Source AV is an authorized...- Asterisk3095

gee, I wonder where the damage is? well maybe you'd realize it was damage if you took a look at the many photos of different people's HEDDphones which were uploaded to this thread which DON'T have those "seams" of yours i mean it's pretty obvious they're not supposed to be there- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
they are quite literally cracks lol 1. they're different lengths on both sides 2. they're uneven/slightly jagged 3. one side doesn't even have them also even if they weren't cracks, it's ridiculous that uneven seams are acceptable on a $1900 headphone- Asterisk3095

alright yeah thanks! quick question: I sent a message over HEDD Audio's website; is that the correct course of action, or is there a specific email I need to send a message to? also, any info about those hairline cracks in the earcups I mentioned? here's a picture of what i'm talking about...- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
I picked up a HEDD V1 during CanJam yesterday! It's my favorite open back headphone, and I am in love with how it sounds. However, I'm having a few issues with it, and have emailed HEDD Audio about it, but I'm also going to check here. Issue 1: The drivers make crinkling noises. I understand...- Asterisk3095

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Just had a chance to compare them at CanJam this weekend! HEDD V1 has superior soundstage, bass punch/slam, and has a better timbre. HEDD V2 is more neutral, sounds "cleaner", and won't give you a headache from wearing it. V1 seems maybe slightly harder to drive than V2- Asterisk3095

Monoprice Monolith Liquid Platinum - By Alex Cavalli
Thanks for the recommendation! Unfortunately I also value aesthetic as much as I do sound quality, and the design of those amplifiers does not really speak to me very much (I'm a bit of a weirdo haha). I'd also prefer more power than what even the Ember can dish out as I'm looking to get some...- Asterisk3095
