Yeah my Penrose were pretty much unusable because of dropouts even with only being a few feet away. Maxwell is rock solid.

Just refreshed the firmware and its back to normal.

Just tried to use these through USB for the first time in a while and the volume blew my ears out. On Mac OS Ventura they are crazy loud. 1 volume tick and it's as loud as I can take them. Anyone else have this issue?

Are you just referring to the LDAC custom eq bug or an actual increase in wireless audio quality overall?

The custom EQs untouched area actually the “bass boost”. There were graphs somewhere that compared the different EQs but I agree it would be nice to be able to see the EQs and make informed tweaks.

This. I live in NYC where the wireless is congested and have never had a good experience with wireless headphones on the Xbox (Penrose being the worst). With Maxwell I never have to worry about it. It just works.

This is the new one. I think the ones that shipped recently already have this version. The concern before was that someone would downgrade their new Maxwells.

Yeah it's just like any other headphones / headset on xbox. Doesn't matter what the dongle converts it to. The xbox is outputting uncompressed.

On my iPad Pro I get some audio with the dongle but there is a lot of static. Would be cool if it was supported.

Appreciate that. And again I think the headphone is really great. The functionality is so much improved over Penrose. No regrets. For my use case I’d prefer it a certain way, but get what you are going for.

I’m sure it’s much easier said than done, but a software toggle like “sidetone follows mic mute” would guarantee you would never hear this complaint again. :)

It’s more that, for me, it feels really weird to talk with closed back headphones on and not hear myself. Like trying to talk while covering your ears. I play online shooters a lot and don’t leave my mic on the whole time. Will just unmute to talk for a little then mute again. That’s where...
