I’ve been running the gambit a bit lately on streamers. Bluesound Node 2i -> Pi2AES w/LPS -> Eversolo DMP-A6 w/LPS -> Holo Audio Red. I did my best to blind test the Red agains the A6 and Pi2 and its an incredibly close race. Ultimately I settled on the Red but that nagging feeling in my brain...

My Red has been FLAWLESS, with HQP/NAA and with Roon direct. I’d highly recommend the Red if you’re after a highly optimized Pi based streamer.

I expect some changes in Mentor after some longer run-in… but as of now the Mentor sounds strikingly similar to the TT2 amp (which I adore). Currently using the Schiit XLRs but have a pair of Norne XLRs incoming.

My stack arrived and it sounding wonderful. Only problem with the remote is the “volume +” Changes the input on my TT2… so that kind of sucks.
