Happy to report that there isn’t significant improvement with a balanced cable. Used XD05 Pro, D16, Aroma a100TB and Dita Navigator as sources. There’s slight improvement in dynamics and mid bass. That’s all- Sonic Sleuth

I don’t have the Noir but I do have Pilgrim and Volare. It seems like I/O carefully examined the variations, identified its shortcomings, and enhanced every aspect where it fell short.- Sonic Sleuth

Yes, I was able to take some time out today. Type E definitely is a better choice with 4U but I didn’t find it made any noticeable difference in the lower treble area. The vocals were slightly forward and had better note weight and I felt the bass was slightly more textured.- Sonic Sleuth

Vortex Cables Impressions & Discussions Thread
I had the opportunity to test various audio cables from several brands, including the Vortex line, which I received as part of a review tour organized by @gadgetgod. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of these cables and wanted to share my impressions. However, I couldn't find an...- Sonic Sleuth

Good stuff!! Your impression mostly aligns with mine. At the price 4U comes in, objectively I have no complaints. Subjectively, I felt the upper mids to lower treble region can be reduced a little.- Sonic Sleuth

I can’t think of any other configuration. 1 X DD = Sub bass 1 X DD = Mid bass 1 X DD = Mid range 1 X DD = Treble Or 2 X DD (isobaric) = Sub bass & mid bass 1 X DD = Mid range 1 X DD = Treble- Sonic Sleuth
