FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Yeah, I get that, but if they are not poorly tuned, if the bass is done properly and the rest of the frequencies are not missing.. why are so many people dumping these? The ones that got them to begin with knew they were basshead IEMs, this was pretty much a given.- RSC08

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
I've noticed that there are a lot of Scarlet Minis available in the classifieds section. This seems odd, since pretty much everyone says that although these are bass cannons, the mids and treble are good. Are they super fatiguing or something?- RSC08

I wish the Z1R was smaller... I would buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't think they would keep falling out while I'm commuting.- RSC08

So you would put them above the Singularity and the Titan? The reviews I saw for the Singularity seem to put them right on the money for what I want.- RSC08

The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
Thanks, but I discarded the Senns (IE600 and IE900) as I don't like the semi-proprietary cable connection and all the QC issues that have been coming to light recently, do not give me confidence on them. I demoed the M9 once and wasn't convinced. The M9's BA drivers don't do bass to my liking...- RSC08

The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
Looking for an engaging, fun, "tap your foot" kinda IEM without the bass being bloated, suitable for a wide range of music genres and that pairs well with the WM1Z (1200€ tops). The Z1R is not an option for me due to size/fit constrains. From the below, which would be the best pair: - Nightjar...- RSC08

Oriolus Szalayi IEM discussion thread
Hi everyone! Been reading a lot about this set and feeling like taking the plunge here. Question: How do these pair with the Sony WM1Z? And would you recommend getting an upgraded cable for it? (Dunu Lyre Mini looks nice and comes with modular connectors)- RSC08

Thanks! I just ordered that screen protector from Amazon. 🙏🏼 I ended up ordering this one from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224271810150 Too bad the Dignis blue Walkman case is not available anymore, I would buy it in a heartbeat.- RSC08

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Yes, so far I'm not getting the same kick I got from the originals. They also sound a bit harsh and bass is not really there yet. I hope it improves over time, so far I've got close to 12 hours on them.- RSC08

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Got my Xelento Remote Gen 2 today. Had the first version some years back, ended up selling it because even though it sounded positively magical in some tracks, in others the bass made the songs a bit too aggressive. Bought the Meze Rai Penta afterwards, hated it. Sounded sterile and made music...- RSC08

Victor HA-FW10000: 10th Anniversary model
I'm sorry but I never had that experience. Balanced, unbalanced, on DAP, on DAC, stock cable, other cables... they never sounded "bass light" to me, ever. I agree that, for my taste, they sound their best with a warmer source but "bass light" is something I wouldn't say about these.- RSC08

Klipsch HP-3
Totally agree, HP-3 are super smooth and I also don't think they require EQ. The HP-3 are unbelievably lush. To be honest, when I got them with my previous dac/amp, the Fostex HP-A3, I thought the bass was bloaty and I had to EQ them. When I got the Teac dac/amp, they were just perfect, bass...- RSC08
